Why Leslie Shay’s death is tied to two episodes
Shay’s death occurs in the season 2 finale, but viewers receive confirmation in the season 3 premiere, which revisits the event in a flashback. That distinction matters when looking up the episode: the finale is where the fatal collapse happens; the premiere confirms what happened to her.
Why this is not a complete list of every death
The seven entries above are a scoped list of major firefighter and medic deaths, not every death involving every character across the show and its crossovers.
