What was Cher talking about?
The F-word came as Cher recounted advice she said Lucille Ball gave her after Cher’s 1975 split from Sonny Bono. Us Weekly transcribed the remembered advice in partially masked form as: “F— him. You’re the one with the talent.” This is Cher’s recollection of what Ball told her; it is not a statement independently verified as Ball’s exact words.
