Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc began subscription streaming in the United States on April 30, 2026, exclusively identified by the official announcement as a Crunchyroll release. The film is currently listed on Crunchyroll with Japanese and English audio options, plus multiple subtitle languages.
This is separate from the film’s digital purchase and rental availability. If you do not want a Crunchyroll subscription, Sony Pictures lists several digital storefronts, while Amazon Video offers a one-time digital transaction rather than access through a standard Prime Video subscription.
Where to stream Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc
For viewers in the U.S., the best-supported subscription option is Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll announced that the movie would begin streaming on April 30, 2026, and its official watch page currently carries the title.
The film is also listed through the Crunchyroll Amazon Channel in the United States. That is a subscription route accessed through Amazon, not the same thing as owning the movie through Amazon Video.
Quick answer
- Subscription streaming: Crunchyroll.
- Amazon subscription route: Crunchyroll Amazon Channel.
- Digital purchase or rental: Amazon Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, YouTube, and Sony Pictures Core are listed as digital destinations.
- Free legal streaming: No free option was identified in the U.S. availability check dated August 11, 2026.
- Audio: The U.S. Crunchyroll listing shows Japanese and English audio, along with several subtitle languages.
Crunchyroll is the confirmed streaming home
Crunchyroll’s official announcement placed Reze Arc in its 2026 Ani-May programming and gave April 30, 2026, as the streaming date. The service’s current U.S. watch page continues to list the movie, so viewers looking for the subscription version should start there.

For the most direct route, use Crunchyroll’s own catalog and check that the title is available in your account’s territory. Streaming catalogs are licensed by region and can change, so a listing in the U.S. does not guarantee identical availability elsewhere.
Is it included with Amazon Prime?
Do not confuse Amazon’s different video products. The film’s availability through the Crunchyroll Amazon Channel is a subscription option, but that does not mean Reze Arc is included automatically with a regular Prime Video membership.
Amazon Video is separately listed as a digital purchase or download destination. In other words:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed

| Option | What it means |
|---|---|
| Crunchyroll | Subscription streaming through Crunchyroll’s service. |
| Crunchyroll Amazon Channel | Subscription access through Amazon’s channel system. |
| Amazon Video | A separate digital transaction, such as a purchase or rental, depending on the current offer. |
| Prime Video membership alone | Not established by the available evidence as automatically including the film. |
If you prefer keeping your anime subscriptions inside Amazon, look specifically for the Crunchyroll Amazon Channel. If you want to pay for the movie once, look for the Amazon Video purchase or rental listing instead.

Can you buy or rent the movie digitally?
Yes. Sony Pictures’ official movie page currently labels Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc “Get it Now on Digital” and lists Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango at Home, YouTube, and Sony Pictures Core as digital destinations.
These are transaction-based digital options, not proof that the film is included with Apple TV+, YouTube Premium, Prime Video’s general subscription, or another unrelated streaming plan. The exact offer—rental, purchase, download, price, resolution, and language options—can vary by storefront and territory.
For readers who want a one-time digital option, watch Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc on Amazon Video when the listing is available in their market. Check the checkout page carefully to confirm whether the button offers a rental or a purchase.

No free legal streaming option was identified in the U.S. service check performed on August 11, 2026. The title was listed on Crunchyroll and through the Crunchyroll Amazon Channel, with separate purchase or download listings through Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango at Home.
That result is a snapshot rather than a permanent guarantee. Promotional access, catalog changes, and regional licensing can alter the answer. Avoid unofficial uploads and pirate sites: apart from the legal and security risks, they often provide poor subtitles, incomplete video, or misleading “free” playback pages.

Streaming, digital, and theatrical release dates
The movie followed a conventional theatrical-to-home-release sequence, but its dates differed by market:
| Date | Milestone |
|---|---|
| September 19, 2025 | Japanese theatrical debut. |
| October 24, 2025 | International theatrical rollout began. |
| April 23, 2026 | Crunchyroll announced the specific streaming date. |
| April 30, 2026 | Subscription streaming began on Crunchyroll. |
| August 11, 2026 | U.S. availability check still found the movie on Crunchyroll and listed the Crunchyroll Amazon Channel, alongside separate digital options. |
For the United States, the theatrical-to-subscription-streaming interval was approximately six months. The precise calculation depends on which U.S. theatrical opening and market are used. These dates should not be treated as a universal release-window formula for future anime films.
Audio, subtitles, and regional availability
The U.S. English-language Crunchyroll listing displays both Japanese and English audio, as well as multiple subtitle languages. The available tracks can differ by country, device, and storefront, so confirm the options after opening the title page.
All of the current availability statements in this article are specifically about the United States. A film can be on Crunchyroll in one country while delayed, unavailable, or licensed to a different service in another. If you are outside the U.S., search your local Crunchyroll catalog and digital storefront rather than relying on the U.S. release date.

What is the movie about?
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc continues the story of the Chainsaw Man anime and focuses on Denji’s encounter with Reze. Sony Pictures’ official synopsis frames the story around devils, hunters, hidden enemies, and Denji’s continuing struggle to preserve his humanity.
The film is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, written by Hiroshi Seko, produced by MAPPA, and based on the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It is a continuation of the anime narrative rather than a separate documentary or standalone origin story, so viewers unfamiliar with the series may get more from it after watching the first season.
What to watch before Reze Arc
- Watch the first season of Chainsaw Man so you understand Denji, his powers, Public Safety, and the major characters surrounding him.
- Pay attention to Denji’s motivations and his uncertain idea of an ordinary human life; those themes carry directly into the movie’s conflict.
- Choose Japanese audio with subtitles or the English dub according to your preference. Crunchyroll’s U.S. listing shows both options.
- If you have already seen the anime, avoid reading detailed plot summaries if you want to experience Reze’s role without spoilers.
For fans: manga, Blu-ray, and merchandise
After watching the movie, fans can find franchise-related products through the official Crunchyroll Store, including Chainsaw Man manga, the Chainsaw Man Season 1 Blu-ray, figures, apparel, and Reze Arc-related merchandise. These products are optional fan items, not alternatives required to access the film.
Physical media may be useful for viewers who want a permanent collection copy or prefer not to depend on a changing streaming catalog. Check the product’s region, subtitle and audio specifications, and whether it is a film release or the Season 1 Blu-ray before ordering.
