Céline Dion’s team warned in March 2025 that unapproved AI-generated recordings claiming to include her performances, name and likeness were circulating online and through digital service providers. The team said those recordings were fake, not approved and not part of her official discography.
What Céline Dion’s team said
ABC News reported that a statement attributed to Dion’s official Instagram account or representatives said: “It has come to our attention that unsanctioned, AI-generated music purporting to contain Celine Dion’s musical performances, and name and likeness, is currently circulating online and across various digital service providers.”
The statement continued: “Please be advised that these recordings are fake and not approved, and are not songs from her discography.” ABC News reported the warning as a Friday social post; other contemporaneous coverage dates it to March 7, 2025. The exact original post timestamp has not been independently confirmed. ABC News and the Los Angeles Times reported the warning.
What the warning does—and doesn’t—establish
- It concerns recordings that purport to feature Dion’s performances and likeness; it does not say that every AI-assisted song or every online upload is fake.
- Her team described the recordings at issue as unapproved and outside her official discography.
- The quoted warning did not name individual tracks, identify who made or distributed the recordings, or give listeners a technical way to detect synthetic audio.
- The reporting does not establish whether the recordings remain online today. The warning is a historical statement from March 2025, not a current inventory of uploads.
How to check whether a song is an official release
Use Dion’s official channels and catalog to verify whether a release appears in her discography. Her official music catalog lists releases including Falling Into You. A song’s use of her name, image or a voice resembling hers is not, by itself, evidence that it is an authorized release.

One secondary report connected a possible track, “Heal Me Lord,” to the story, but that title does not appear in the quoted warning from Dion’s team. It should not be treated as a track the team officially identified. TheWrap’s report discusses the possible example with qualification.
Why an audio-only test isn’t established here
The statement does not describe a reliable listening checklist or technical method for distinguishing AI-generated audio from an authorized performance. The practical check supported by the available information is catalog verification: confirm that the release is listed through Dion’s official channels rather than relying on a platform upload or a claim in its title or description.
