Yes, you can watch Paramount+ through Amazon Prime Video in the U.S. But Paramount+ is not included with a standard Amazon Prime membership. You must buy it separately as a paid Prime Video Channel, then watch it through Prime Video.
If you already subscribe directly to Paramount+, that subscription does not automatically unlock the Paramount+ channel inside Prime Video. The billing company also determines where you cancel.
How Paramount+ and Amazon Prime fit together
These are three different products:
- Amazon Prime: Amazon’s membership, which may include Prime Video access among other benefits.
- Prime Video: Amazon’s streaming service and app.
- Prime Video Channels: Paid add-on subscriptions, such as Paramount+, that you can manage through Prime Video.
Paramount+ is an optional paid channel. Prime members do not receive its catalog at no extra charge. Amazon describes Channels as services customers add individually and pay for separately. See Amazon’s explanation of Prime Video Channels.
How to subscribe to Paramount+ through Prime Video
Availability, plan names, prices, and trial offers can change by country and over time. The following route applies to the U.S. and uses the general Prime Video flow; button labels may differ by device or app version.

- Open Prime Video on the web or in the Prime Video app.
- Search for Paramount+, or open the Prime Video Channels/store section.
- Select the Paramount+ channel page or a Paramount+ program.
- Choose the available plan or trial.
- Review the price, renewal terms, ads, and included features before confirming.
- Complete the subscription using the Amazon account shown at checkout.
After subscribing, Paramount+ programs should appear as Prime Video Channel content. Check the confirmation email and your Prime Video subscription settings so you know which Amazon account is being billed.
Where you can watch an Amazon-billed Paramount+ subscription
The normal viewing route is Prime Video, not automatically the standalone Paramount+ app. You can generally use Prime Video in a web browser or through the Prime Video app on compatible televisions, Fire TV devices, mobile devices, game consoles, streaming devices, and other supported hardware. Check Prime Video’s device guidance.
On a Fire TV device, for example, open Prime Video, sign in to the Amazon account that purchased the channel, and select Paramount+ content from the Prime Video catalog. You do not need a Fire TV device if you already have a compatible smart TV, console, streaming player, or mobile device with Prime Video.

Can a direct Paramount+ subscription be used in Prime Video?
Usually, no. A subscription purchased directly from Paramount+ is a separate subscription from the Paramount+ Prime Video Channel. Signing in to Amazon with the same email address does not automatically transfer the subscription.
If you subscribed at ParamountPlus.com, continue watching through Paramount’s website or app unless you separately purchase the Prime Video Channel. Paramount’s support information distinguishes direct subscriptions from subscriptions purchased through Prime Video. See Paramount’s channel-access guidance.
Some Paramount account-linking or verification flows may allow an Amazon-channel subscriber to use Paramount’s own website or app, depending on the market and current account options. Do not assume that access is universal. If linking does not work, use Prime Video rather than immediately buying another subscription.

Do not assume that the two versions have identical pricing, live programming, downloads, video quality, ads, simultaneous-stream limits, or 4K/HDR availability. These can depend on the plan, device, territory, and licensing arrangements. Check Paramount’s current plans and features, then compare them with the offer shown on Amazon at checkout.
How to cancel Paramount+ when Amazon bills you
Cancel through Amazon, not through Paramount+.
- Sign in to the Amazon account used to purchase the channel.
- Open Prime Video account settings or subscription/channel management.
- Find Paramount+ under Prime Video Channels or subscriptions.
- Select the manage or cancel option.
- Complete the confirmation screens.
- Record the displayed end date and keep the confirmation email or screen.
The exact labels can change. Amazon’s Prime Video subscription help provides the current account-management route. Removing the Prime Video or Paramount+ app does not cancel billing.
If Paramount+ was purchased through Paramount, Apple, Google Play, Roku, or a television provider, cancellation must be completed through that same billing platform. Paramount explains how cancellation follows the original provider.

Canceling Amazon Prime should not be treated as a substitute for checking your Prime Video Channels subscriptions. Inspect the Paramount+ channel separately and confirm its cancellation.

First identify who charged you. A payment from Paramount, Apple, Google, Roku, or another provider will not necessarily unlock the Amazon channel.

- If Amazon billed you, sign in to the Amazon account shown on the receipt.
- Check Prime Video’s Channels or subscription-management area.
- Sign out of Prime Video on the device and sign back in.
- Update the Prime Video app.
- Try Prime Video in a web browser to determine whether the problem is device-specific.
- Contact Amazon for an Amazon billing problem, or Paramount for a Paramount billing problem.
Other possible explanations include an expired trial, a different household account, territory restrictions, or a title that is not currently available through the channel.

What if the Paramount+ app does not recognize an Amazon subscription?
Do not start a second Paramount+ subscription immediately. Confirm whether your Amazon subscription is intended for Prime Video playback only, and look for any current Paramount account-linking or verification option. If no supported linking route is available, watch through Prime Video.
If you specifically need Paramount’s native app, compare the available plans first. Cancel the Amazon channel and confirm its end date before starting a replacement direct subscription to avoid duplicate billing.
Before you subscribe: a quick checklist
- Confirm that Paramount+ is available as a Prime Video Channel in your country.
- Compare the plan, price, ads, trial terms, and renewal price shown at checkout.
- Check whether the device you use supports Prime Video.
- Choose Amazon if you want Prime Video convenience and consolidated Amazon billing.
- Choose direct Paramount+ if you primarily want Paramount’s native app, website, or direct promotions.
- Write down who will bill you and where cancellation must occur.
- Do not create a second subscription until you have checked the first one.
The U.S. answer is straightforward: Paramount+ can be watched through Amazon Prime Video, but only as a separate paid add-on or through a supported account-linking arrangement. It is not a free Prime benefit, and direct Paramount+ subscribers should not expect their subscription to work in Prime Video automatically.
