A phone-based screen-capture workaround may be possible on some devices, but the available official instructions do not establish that it will work reliably or run unattended.
What Streamlabs Mobile documents
Streamlabs’ YouTube-from-phone walkthrough describes choosing YouTube and creating or selecting a live event. Its Streamlabs Mobile guide covers camera and screen broadcasting and mobile stream settings. Neither guide documents importing a prerecorded playlist, setting it to repeat, or scheduling it to run unattended for 24 hours.
That is a limit of the documented workflow, not proof that no device-specific workaround exists. If you need a continuous playlist, do not rely on a sequence of undocumented phone steps: first verify that your chosen playout method can loop video, keep audio routed correctly, recover after a dropped connection, and operate with your device and operating system.
Choose a workflow that fits prerecorded playback
YouTube distinguishes mobile streams from encoder streams. It describes mobile as suited to “vlogging and quick updates” from a phone or tablet, while encoder streaming can support screen sharing and advanced productions. That makes an encoder or dedicated playout workflow a more relevant category to investigate for prerecorded continuous playback; it does not, by itself, guarantee playlist looping in any particular product. Questions to verify before choosing
- Can it import your videos or playlist and loop them continuously?
- Does it reconnect or restart the stream if YouTube or the network drops?
- Must a computer or other device remain powered and supervised?
- Can it record a local copy, and what happens to recordings during a long session?
- What upload bandwidth, backup connection, operating system, and hardware does it require?
- Do you have the rights to stream every recording, and does the service impose licensing limits?
Why a 24/7 stream may not become a complete archive
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. A 24/7 broadcast should therefore not be treated as a reliable way to create one complete YouTube archive. If you need a copy, plan a separate recording and check that it is actually being saved; YouTube’s guidance is in Archive live streams.
Check YouTube eligibility and long-run conditions
Enable live streaming before the event
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time live-streaming enablement may take up to 24 hours, so confirm access in advance using YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility instructions.

Allow upload bandwidth headroom
YouTube warns that stream bitrate cannot exceed available upload bandwidth and that network disruption can break a stream. A long-running broadcast depends on a stable connection, not only on the app or encoder. Leave bandwidth headroom and monitor the stream; YouTube’s streaming tips also recommend monitoring audio and video and checking that local archive files continue growing when recording locally.
If you are considering phone screen capture
Playing a video on the phone and broadcasting its screen is an unverified workaround, not a documented Streamlabs Mobile playlist feature. The official guidance cited here does not establish whether background playback, looping, audio routing, device heat and power limits, or operating-system restrictions will permit an unattended 24-hour session.

If you test it, do so in a private or otherwise low-risk session before relying on it. Confirm that the video and audio reach the live output, the loop restarts as intended, the phone stays powered and connected, and the stream remains live after screen or app changes. Do not assume a successful short test proves unattended operation.
If you mean a live camera stream instead
Streamlabs Mobile’s documented camera workflow is a different use case from playing prerecorded videos. A continuous camera broadcast still depends on ongoing power, network stability, and supervision. The cited instructions do not guarantee unattended uptime. An optional smartphone tripod mount can help position a phone for a camera stream, but it does not add playlist playback or continuous-operation capability.
