Yes. YouTube’s published limits allow up to 10 active streams per channel and up to 3 active streams per stream key, with both limits applying at once. Two streams fit those count limits if other active streams are not using the available capacity. That does not guarantee a particular setup will run continuously or that YouTube will save a 24-hour broadcast as one complete VOD.
What YouTube’s limits mean for two simultaneous streams
YouTube Help states that a channel can have up to 10 active streams and each stream key can be used for up to 3 active streams. Both limits apply simultaneously. So two feeds are within the documented caps, provided other active streams on the channel or key do not take the total over either limit. YouTube also limits how many live streams a channel can create in a 24-hour period. The cited error guidance confirms that limit but does not state its numeric value, so the active-stream cap should not be treated as an answer to how often you can end and recreate broadcasts. How to set up the two feeds
YouTube supports encoder streaming for gameplay and advanced production. Each feed needs a configured encoder output directed to YouTube using the stream URL and key provided in Live Control Room. The documentation establishes the concurrency limits, but it does not prescribe a particular two-encoder arrangement or certify any software, hardware, or network configuration for continuous operation.

- Confirm the channel is eligible to livestream: it must be verified and have no livestreaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube’s getting-started guidance also says streamers must be at least 16. Eligibility requirements.
- In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or configure the live streams. For each feed, note the stream URL and stream key shown in its settings. YouTube describes stream keys as credentials that route an encoder’s feed to the right stream; treat them as private. Create a live stream with an encoder and manage live-stream settings.
- Configure the encoder output for each feed with its intended URL and key. Keep the two feeds’ settings clearly matched to the corresponding Live Control Room streams; YouTube does not specify a required topology for running two encoders.
- Start each encoder and use the Live Control Room preview and stream-health indicators to confirm that the intended feed is arriving. Plan for VOD archiving separately
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its guidance does not promise that a continuous 24-hour broadcast will be saved as one complete VOD. If a complete archive matters, check YouTube’s current behavior and plan a separate recording or archive workflow rather than assuming the automatic archive will cover the whole stream. Frequent ending and recreating streams to work around archive needs also runs into the separate daily stream-creation limit; YouTube does not state a numeric quota in the cited error guidance.

Check game and audio rights
Only stream gameplay, music, and other material you have permission to broadcast. YouTube’s live-stream settings guidance points creators to Content ID and rights-policy controls, but it does not establish a universal license for game footage or music. Check the specific game publisher’s current streaming policy and the rights for any third-party audio in the loop. An active live-stream restriction is not something to evade by switching to another channel; YouTube says restrictions can prevent livestreaming from another channel while they are active. Troubleshooting two-feed setups
- The second feed will not start: Check whether the channel already has 10 active streams or the selected key already has 3. Both ceilings apply at once. Also check channel livestream eligibility and any active restriction.
- The encoder connects to the wrong broadcast: Verify that each encoder has the URL and key for its intended Live Control Room stream. Stream keys route the feed; handle them as credentials.
- The feed appears unreliable: Test each output, inspect its Live Control Room preview and stream health, and monitor both encoders and their network connections. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring, but its published count limits do not guarantee continuity.
- The full 24-hour VOD is missing or incomplete: YouTube’s automatic archive guidance covers streams under 12 hours, not a complete 24-hour broadcast. Do not depend on that rule for a full-length archive.
- You cannot create another stream after ending one: YouTube documents a daily stream-creation limit but the cited error page gives no numeric quota. Avoid assuming that the 10-active-stream cap determines how many broadcasts may be created in a day.
