No—not according to StreamYard’s documented scheduling instructions. StreamYard explains how to schedule a YouTube broadcast, while YouTube documents Live Redirect setup in YouTube Studio or Live Control Room. Set the destination in YouTube’s interface; the available documentation does not establish that StreamYard automatically configures it.
What StreamYard scheduling does—and does not establish
StreamYard’s YouTube scheduling instructions describe creating a broadcast from the StreamYard dashboard and scheduling it, which creates a scheduled video post on YouTube. Those instructions do not describe choosing a YouTube Live Redirect destination.
That is a limit of what the documented workflow establishes, not proof that no undocumented integration exists. For a dependable handoff, configure the redirect in YouTube itself and verify the destination there.
How to set up Live Redirect in YouTube
- Open the source broadcast. In YouTube Studio, go to Content, then Live, and edit the live video that will send viewers onward.
- Open its customization settings. Choose Customization, then under Redirect, select Add.
- Choose an eligible destination. Select a Premiere or search for another channel’s live stream. YouTube’s Live Redirect instructions describe the destination and eligibility rules.
- Confirm the destination and save the setup. If you are redirecting to another channel’s live stream, that channel must permit redirects from you. Check YouTube’s current settings and interface before the event, since the platform’s controls may change.
- End the source stream through YouTube’s workflow. YouTube says viewers are redirected after the source live stream ends. Its TeamYouTube announcement also explains that viewers with autoplay disabled need to click the play button to continue.
Eligibility and destination permissions
YouTube currently says a creator sending viewers via Live Redirect needs more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes. To redirect to another channel’s live stream, that channel must grant permission in YouTube Studio.

YouTube describes recipient controls that can allow channels the creator subscribes to, all channels, or specified approved channels; the documented setting supports up to 100 approved channels. Review the current controls on YouTube before relying on a particular permission configuration.
What viewers should expect
When the source stream ends, YouTube moves viewers to the selected destination. The 2022-05-03 TeamYouTube announcement says viewers who have autoplay disabled must click play. Do not assume every viewer will transition without interaction.
