Streamlabs Talk Studio documents ways to play a video clip as an intro or outro, switch manually between video files during a live show, and schedule a broadcast made from one pre-recorded video. Its documentation does not confirm that it can automatically play a local video playlist in order, loop it, or run it unattended during a host-led YouTube live stream.

How to use video clips during a live show
Add and switch between videos manually
- In Talk Studio, open Share and choose the video-sharing option.
- Add the MP4 videos you want available. The screen-sharing guide says you can add several videos from the left navigation.
- During the live stream, select the video you want to show and switch to another when ready. Plan to make each switch yourself; the guide does not confirm that Talk Studio will advance to the next video automatically.
The guide also describes a playlist queue for background audio, including MP3 and WAV tracks. That is an audio queue, not evidence that video files can be queued for automatic playback.
Set up an intro or outro clip
- Open the Video button and go to Clips.
- Select a preset or upload a video, then preview it on the main canvas.
- Assign the clip as the intro or outro.
Streamlabs’ Intros & Outros guide specifies H.264/MP4 and upload maximums of 150 MB for Standard and 300 MB for Pro. The guide says Free users can select presets only. It was published on April 7, 2023, and marked last updated September 16, 2025; confirm the current limits and plan labels in Talk Studio before preparing a show.
Schedule one complete pre-recorded video instead
If your goal is to broadcast one finished video at a scheduled time rather than play several local files during a hosted live show, Talk Studio’s Broadcast Scheduling guide documents a pre-recorded video option. It lists a maximum file size of 5 GB, a duration limit of one hour on Standard, and up to two hours on Pro or Ultra. The same guide says event links can be created for Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Those limits and destination options may change, so check the current scheduling screen before relying on them.

Check YouTube setup before the scheduled stream
Streamlabs’ YouTube setup guidance says channel verification may take up to 24 hours and describes an additional step that may take up to another 24 hours. These are setup estimates in Streamlabs’ guidance, not guaranteed current wait times. Check the requirements and status shown in YouTube Studio and Talk Studio, and allow time to complete any verification before scheduling or going live.
What to verify if you need a true video playlist
- Whether the current Talk Studio interface offers automatic advancement from one video to the next.
- Whether it can repeat a video or playlist, and whether playback can continue without someone switching files.
- Whether the file format, encoding, size, and duration meet the limits for the specific playback workflow you plan to use.
- Whether the YouTube channel is connected and ready to stream, and whether your videos are cleared for use. You remain responsible for copyright and other YouTube rules; the cited Talk Studio instructions do not establish permission to rebroadcast third-party content.
The reviewed instructions do not fully specify supported encodings for every playback path, or confirm automatic advancement, looping, or unattended local video playlists. If your show depends on those behaviors, test the current interface or ask Streamlabs support before building the broadcast around them.
