No. If your channel is not in the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), it cannot receive a share of YouTube ad revenue—even if YouTube displays ads on your 24/7 stream. Running continuously does not bypass YPP eligibility or review.
Why ads can appear without paying the channel
YouTube says it retains the right to serve ads on content across the platform. It also says channels that have not met the higher YPP eligibility criteria are not yet eligible to receive a share of the revenue from those ads. In other words, seeing an ad on your livestream or its replay does not show that your channel is earning from it. YouTube Partner Program overview & eligibility
A 24/7 schedule does not change that distinction. YouTube’s stated requirements concern eligibility, acceptance into YPP and monetization settings—not how many hours a stream runs.
What a channel needs to earn ad revenue
As of YouTube Help guidance accessed October 3, 2026, the higher YPP tier for ad revenue requires 1,000 subscribers and either of these qualifying performance thresholds:

Reaching a threshold lets you apply; it does not guarantee acceptance. YouTube reviews each channel against its monetization policies. You must also complete the YPP signup requirements, including agreeing to the applicable terms and linking an AdSense for YouTube account. Check YouTube’s current eligibility and signup guidance for the rules that apply to your channel.
When livestream watch hours count
Livestream viewing can contribute to qualifying watch hours only when it meets YouTube’s rules. YouTube excludes livestreams that are unlisted, deleted or not converted to VOD (video on demand). A public stream retained as a VOD may contribute, subject to the other eligibility rules; simply running a stream for many hours does not ensure those hours qualify. What must be enabled after YPP acceptance
YPP membership alone does not automatically mean every livestream earns ad revenue. To earn Watch Page ad and YouTube Premium revenue from live-stream videos, accept the Watch Page Monetization Module. Then turn on monetization for the stream. YouTube says pre-roll and display ads are automatically enabled when livestream monetization is on; mid-rolls can be automatic, scheduled at intervals or inserted manually. Even with monetization enabled, an ad is not guaranteed to play. YouTube states: “Ad slots are not guaranteed to serve ads.” The platform’s guidance does not promise a particular ad frequency or income based on a stream’s duration. YouTube Help: Monetize your live stream

YouTube’s monetization and advertiser-friendly policies apply to livestreams as well as other video formats. Passing the subscriber and watch-time or Shorts-view thresholds does not replace the channel review, and membership does not exempt a stream from those policies. Review YouTube’s channel monetization policies and advertiser-friendly content guidelines before relying on a continuous stream for revenue.

What to expect from a 24/7 stream before YPP
- YouTube may show ads, but a channel outside YPP does not receive a share of those ads.
- A long runtime does not create a YPP exception or guarantee qualifying watch hours.
- After acceptance, the relevant module and stream monetization settings must be in place before the channel can earn Watch Page ad and YouTube Premium revenue from live-stream videos.
- Ad delivery and earnings remain variable; YouTube does not guarantee that ad slots will serve.
