The trailer is for Calamity Jane, Terry Miles’s 2024 Western—not the 1953 Doris Day musical. Emily Bett Rickards, who played Felicity Smoak on Arrow, stars as Calamity Jane, with Stephen Amell as Wild Bill Hickok. The film follows Jane’s escape from prison and pursuit of revenge after Wild Bill is killed in a poker game.
What the trailer shows
Calamity Jane turns a violent loss into a revenge story. After Wild Bill is killed during a poker game, Jane breaks out of prison and sets out after the people responsible. Deadwood’s Sheriff Mason pursues her, putting Jane’s escape and revenge mission on a collision course with the law. The distributor’s synopsis describes the premise as a race to seek revenge before the sheriff can arrest her; Apple TV identifies the sheriff as Mason.

The trailer report and release news date to January 2024, ahead of the film’s February release. This is a trailer for an already released movie, not a newly announced film.
How the Arrow reunion fits
Rickards and Amell reunite onscreen after Arrow, where Rickards played Felicity Smoak and Amell played Oliver Queen. In this film, they take on very different roles: Rickards is Calamity Jane and Amell is Wild Bill Hickok. The connection is the actors, not the story: Calamity Jane is a Western, not an Arrow crossover or continuation.
