Bosch: Legacy Season 3 premiered on Prime Video on March 27, 2025, and its finale arrived April 17. Titus Welliver’s earlier comment that he expected the season in 2025 was a forecast, not a release-date announcement. Season 3 was the show’s last, but Welliver continued as Harry Bosch in the spinoff Ballard.
What was Titus Welliver’s update on Season 3?
In an interview with ComicBook published August 14, 2024, Welliver said the show did not yet have a release date. He expected it to arrive sometime in 2025, “hopefully early in 2025.” He linked that estimate partly to Ballard, the Renée Ballard spinoff then in production, where he expected to appear in three episodes.

That was Welliver’s expectation at the time, not a confirmed premiere date. The date was announced later: Season 3 began streaming March 27, 2025.
When did Bosch: Legacy Season 3 come out?
Prime Video released the 10-episode season in a staggered schedule. The first four episodes arrived on March 27, followed by two episodes each Thursday for the next three weeks. The finale was released April 17, 2025. Amazon said the season premiered in more than 240 countries and territories; streaming availability can vary by location and may change.

Michael Connelly’s official Bosch TV page announced the March 27 start date and rollout. Amazon’s Season 3 guide identifies the season as the 10-episode final run.
Is Season 3 the final season?
Yes. On September 6, 2024, Connelly announced that Season 3 would be the last season of Bosch: Legacy. TheWrap’s report of the announcement also quoted Amazon MGM Studios television head Vernon Sanders describing the end of Legacy while pointing to further stories in the Bosch universe.
The ending of Bosch: Legacy did not end Welliver’s portrayal of Harry Bosch. Amazon’s May 29, 2025 press announcement confirmed that Welliver appears in Ballard, which premiered July 9, 2025.

Season 3 uses elements from two Michael Connelly novels: Desert Star (2022) and The Black Ice (1993), according to Connelly’s official series page. They offer companion reading, but the books are not a prerequisite for following the television season.
