Do not assume that a page advertising the 2024 Champions League season provides a complete replay of this particular final. Streaming rights and catalog windows change by country and date. Paramount+ has an official page for its 2024 UEFA Champions League season, and Prime Video has an official listing for the 2024 season and an official film, but the available research does not establish that either service currently offers the full Dortmund–Real Madrid final to every U.S. viewer.

- A full-match replay: the complete 90 minutes plus any extra time or presentation included in the listing.
- Official highlights: a shorter video or match package, which is not a substitute for the full broadcast.
- A match report: written coverage, often the most reliably available historical record.
UEFA’s official match reporting is the best place to confirm the result, goal times, and major incidents. Availability of third-party clips, broadcasts, and replays can vary by territory.
Result and match highlights
Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund 2–0. Dortmund created the more dangerous chances during important stretches of the first half. Niclas Füllkrug struck the post, and Gregor Kobel was required to keep Dortmund in the contest before Madrid took control after the interval.
Dani Carvajal opens the scoring
Real Madrid broke the deadlock in the 74th minute. Toni Kroos delivered a corner, and Dani Carvajal attacked it to score the opening goal. The goal changed the final: Dortmund had competed well for much of the match, but Madrid’s set-piece quality and experience gave the Spanish side the lead.

Pre-match team news
Before kickoff, UEFA’s team-news coverage treated Dortmund’s selection above as the expected lineup. For Real Madrid, Thibaut Courtois was expected to start after Andriy Lunin was affected by illness. The final team sheet confirmed Courtois in goal.
Because this information relates to a match played in 2024, it should not be read as a statement about either club’s current squad, manager, injuries, or likely lineup in 2026.
How the teams reached the final
Dortmund reached the final by defeating Paris Saint-Germain 2–0 on aggregate in the semifinals. The run was notable because Dortmund had endured a difficult domestic campaign but produced a strong Champions League campaign and emerged as an unexpected finalist.
Real Madrid eliminated Bayern Munich in the other semifinal. Madrid entered Wembley unbeaten in the competition and brought considerably more European-final experience. That contrast shaped the pre-match narrative: Dortmund were chasing a second European Cup, while Madrid were pursuing an unprecedented-for-the-club-at-the-time 15th European Cup or Champions League title.

Real Madrid’s 2–0 win delivered the club’s 15th European Cup/Champions League crown. Dortmund had previously won the competition in 1997 and were seeking their second title. The match was the 69th European Cup final.
The result also extended Madrid’s historic dominance in European club football. Dortmund’s performance nevertheless reflected the quality of its run: the German side created genuine danger, including Füllkrug’s effort against the post, before Madrid’s second-half goals settled the final.

Important date and competition clarification
This was the 2023/24 Champions League final, not a current fixture. The 2025/26 Champions League final was a separate match between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, played on May 30, 2026. Therefore, searches describing Dortmund vs Real Madrid as a final being played “today” are using outdated or recycled wording.
