Black Clover resumed publishing chapters in 2025, but the available official records do not show a return to its former weekly schedule. The manga later concluded in 2026. Here is what the publication record says about the hiatus, the return, and the series’ final status.
What “Black Clover’s return” means
The series resumed publishing chapters in the Jump GIGA context during 2025. Shueisha’s catalog for Black Clover, Vol. 37, identifies both Weekly Shonen Jump and Jump GIGA as publication venues for its chapters. That supports describing the development as a publication resumption; it does not establish that the manga returned to weekly serialization. Shueisha’s Vol. 37 listing gives a September 4, 2025 release date and covers chapters 370–380.
Why the manga went on hiatus
On April 25, 2022, the Weekly Shonen Jump Editorial Department announced that Black Clover would pause from the next issue so creator Yūki Tabata could prepare a new story arc. The notice estimated a break of about three months and said a return date would be announced in a future issue; it did not give a confirmed date. The editorial notice explained the publication pause.
In a message translated and published by VIZ on April 24, 2022, Tabata said he wanted more time to create the final arc and give the story a proper conclusion. He wrote, “I apologize to those who look forward to reading the new chapters each week,” and, “I’d appreciate it if you could just wait a little longer.” Those are Tabata’s words as translated by VIZ, not original English statements. VIZ’s translated message provides the creator’s explanation.

Key dates in the publication timeline

- September 4, 2025: Shueisha lists Vol. 37, which collects chapters 370–380 and identifies Weekly Shonen Jump and Jump GIGA as publication venues.
- September 24, 2025: Shonen Jump+ dates chapter 380 to this day and marks the series complete on its chapter page. See the chapter 380 listing.

Is Black Clover still running?
No. By 2026, official listings include chapter 392, and the franchise’s official site says the manga’s serialization ended in May 2026. So a question such as “When does the manga return?” refers to a past publication development: chapters resumed in 2025, and the series has since finished.
