The couple married Friday, February 16, 2024, at Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury in New Jersey. Us Weekly also reported the date and New Jersey setting. PEOPLE’s account, carried by Yahoo Entertainment, described the venue as a historic 18-acre estate and said 200 guests attended; those figures are details from that wedding report, not independently verified venue records.
What was the wedding like?
The celebration was formal black tie, with tall candles and all-white flowers accented by greenery. Calafiore told PEOPLE, “We had an incredible time. It was the best day of our lives.”
He said the couple wanted to bring friends and family together for a heartfelt ceremony followed by a lively night of dancing. Laratta and her bridesmaids walked to a violin cover of Taylor Swift’s “Lover”; Calafiore and his groomsmen entered to a violin cover of James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go.” The couple’s first dance was to “Thank God” by Kane and Katelyn Brown.

Food and reception
PEOPLE’s account described a cocktail hour featuring sushi, a homemade pizza station, lobster ravioli, a vodka ice luge, caviar, lobster rolls, steak and bacon mac and cheese. Dinner choices included burrata and arugula salad, Chateaubriand, Chilean sea bass and pork chop.
Dessert included a chocolate-and-vanilla cake filled with cannoli cream, cheesecake, pastries, cannoli bombs, gelato, doughnuts and cappuccinos. These were reported items from the couple’s celebration, not a statement of Shadowbrook’s current menu.

Laratta wore a customized Martina Liana gown with Vince Camuto platform heels for the ceremony. She changed into a Grace Loves Lace dress and Sam Edelman shoes for the reception.
Who attended?
Among the guests named in PEOPLE’s report were Calafiore’s fellow Big Brother alumni Paulie Calafiore, Derrick Levasseur, Tiffany Mitchell and Enzo Palumbo, along with The Challenge alum Cara Maria Sorbello. Parade also covered the wedding and its reality-TV guests.

How did Cody Calafiore and Cristie Laratta meet?
The couple first met in a crowded bar on July 4, 2015. They became engaged in October 2022, after seven years together.
Laratta said the ceremony reflected how their relationship grew through a difficult period in her life. She told PEOPLE that the vows’ story included her lymphoma diagnosis in 2016, when she was 23. This is her account of the experience, rather than independently reviewed medical information.
