Ashley Hollis won Big Brother 27 by a 6–1 jury vote over Vince Panaro. After the finale, she said she spent days rehearsing her final jury speech and brought back her attorney persona to make the case that she deserved to win. The vote was decisive, but the available interviews do not establish that any one speech line alone secured it.
How Ashley Hollis reached the Final Two
Hollis won the season’s final Head of Household competition, then chose to evict Morgan Pope and take Vince Panaro to the Final Two. She told TV Insider, “I was always going to take Vince.” She believed her chances against Morgan were poor, while she thought she could beat Vince, though she was uncertain how many jury votes she would receive. She expected a close result, not the 6–1 outcome.
That choice shaped the final jury case: Hollis had to explain her own game against a finalist she considered beatable, rather than test that judgment against Morgan. TV Insider reports that Morgan cast the sole vote against Hollis.
How Hollis prepared her jury speech
She rehearsed for days
Men’s Journal reported that Hollis rehearsed her speech for days. She described returning to the confidence and focus of her professional identity before addressing the jury: “I was back to attorney Ashley before the show, and I felt like I could win the game.”

She also said she wanted every juror to recognize her case, regardless of how many votes she thought she already had: “I wanted every single vote. I don’t care if I already had some — I wanted everyone to see I deserved to win.”
She had already been explaining her game
Hollis told TV Insider that she used goodbye messages to explain her decisions, aiming to leave less for the jury to piece together if she made it to the end. She also credited her social game, adapting as allies left, and keeping relationships beyond her main alliance. Parade describes her final case as emphasizing how she turned former adversaries into allies; Hollis told the outlet that she had to rely on social play and consider opponents’ perspectives.

Why her case may have resonated—and what is known
The interviews point to a combination of preparation and an argument about relationships, rather than a single competition statistic or one line. Hollis had a planned account of her decisions, had communicated through goodbye messages, and used the finale to frame her social repositioning as part of her game. That is a plausible reading of the reported approach, not proof that one tactic caused the result or that every juror voted for the same reason.
The final tally was 6–1, but the reviewed coverage does not provide a verified full transcript of Hollis’s speech or a complete explanation from each juror. A Global TV search result attributes to Hollis the line, “I turned enemies into allies and my counterpart turned allies into enemies,” but the page could not be opened to verify the wording. It should not be treated as a confirmed transcript excerpt.
