Blake Lively grew her beverage business in stages: she launched Betty Buzz, a line of nonalcoholic sparkling mixers, in 2021; added Betty Booze, a canned cocktail line, in 2023; and extended the latter into noncarbonated vodka iced teas in 2025. The clearest public evidence of expansion is the widening product range, reported retail distribution and a partnership with Princess Cruises—not audited sales or profit figures.
What are Betty Buzz and Betty Booze?
The two brands target different beverage occasions. Betty Buzz is positioned as nonalcoholic sparkling drinks and mixers. Betty Booze is a line of ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages. The distinction matters: the brand’s growth has involved adding a separate alcoholic range, rather than simply extending one mixer line.
| Brand or product | What it is | Positioning and details |
|---|---|---|
| Betty Buzz | Nonalcoholic sparkling beverages and mixers | Launched in September 2021. The company presented the drinks as suitable for mixing or enjoying on their own. |
| Betty Booze | Alcoholic, ready-to-drink canned cocktails | Launched in June 2023. The current brand site lists products at 4.5% and 7% ABV; these are brand-listed strengths. |
| Betty Booze vodka iced teas | Noncarbonated, vodka-based canned drinks | Announced in June 2025 in Meyer Lemonade and Passion Fruit flavors. The brand describes them as made with black tea, fruit juice, corn vodka and agave. |
Product descriptions and ingredient claims come from the brands’ own materials, not independent testing. The 2025 iced teas introduced a new format for Betty Booze: unlike sparkling cocktails, they are noncarbonated.
How the brand developed
2021: Betty Buzz begins with mixers
Betty Buzz launched in September 2021 as a nonalcoholic sparkling mixer line. In the launch announcement, Lively said she did not drink and had spent years making cocktails with mixers, a category she felt was overlooked. The announcement said the products had been in development for three years.

2023: Betty Booze adds ready-to-drink cocktails
On June 29, 2023, the company announced Betty Booze, initially describing a trio of sparkling canned cocktails made with real ingredients. It framed the move as an effort to reach new audiences and occasions. Lively joked in the launch announcement: “These are the recipes I’ve been making for loved ones for years. But I have 4 kids now. And I’m tired. So here they are in a can. Enjoy. Responsibly…ish.”
Betty Booze’s current site describes its drinks as made with real fruit juice, freshly brewed tea and premium spirits. Those are brand claims; the site lists 4.5% and 7% ABV strengths.

2025: Vodka iced teas widen the format range
On June 4, 2025, Betty Booze announced Vodka Iced Tea + Meyer Lemonade and Vodka Iced Tea + Passion Fruit. The announcement identifies black tea, fruit juice, corn vodka and agave as ingredients, and calls the corn vodka naturally gluten-free. Lively described the products as “summer in a can” and said they contained “zero artificial anything”; those phrases are promotional claims from the launch announcement, not independent findings.
What evidence shows the business expanded?
Publicly documented expansion is clearest in four areas: a new product category, additional cocktail formats, reported retail reach and a hospitality partnership. Those indicators show that the brand broadened its presence and offerings. They do not by themselves establish how much it sold or earned.

More products and occasions
The move from nonalcoholic mixers to canned cocktails gave the portfolio products for different occasions and customers. The 2025 vodka iced teas then added a noncarbonated option within Betty Booze. In the 2023 launch announcement, the company explicitly described the cocktail line as part of a strategy to reach new audiences and occasions.
Retail distribution figures reported in 2024
In its October 23, 2024 partnership announcement, Princess Cruises said Betty Buzz was nationally available in more than 8,000 accounts and Betty Booze in more than 6,000. These are figures reported by Princess Cruises at that time, not independently audited totals or current account counts.

The same announcement said the brands would join the cruise line’s Love Line Premium Liquors collection, with a rollout across all 16 ships over the following months. That is evidence of a hospitality and guest-experience partnership, as well as a distribution opportunity; the announcement does not quantify its sales impact.
Publicity and recognition claims
Princess Cruises’ October 2024 announcement also reported more than 3 billion year-to-date media impressions for Betty Buzz and more than 7 billion for Betty Booze. It said Betty Buzz reached No. 3 on Amazon’s soft-drinks best-seller list during July 2024 Prime Day, and reported more than 60 industry awards for Betty Buzz and 12 for Betty Booze. These are dated claims from a commercial partner’s announcement. Impressions, awards and a temporary sales-rank position are not substitutes for revenue, units sold or market share.

Early retailer adoption and advertising
Adweek’s coverage of Betty Buzz’s first advertising campaign described early retail adoption as sufficiently organic that the company waited before running its first ad. Lively told Adweek: “We planned to make ads sooner but were blown away by how organically Betty Buzz has been adopted and championed by people and partners alike.” This is her account of the brand’s early reception, not a measured estimate of advertising’s effect or proof that celebrity visibility caused sales growth.

The available announcements and coverage support a clear account of product launches, brand positioning, selected distribution claims and a cruise-line partnership. They do not establish Betty Buzz or Betty Booze’s revenue, unit sales, profit, market share or year-by-year growth rate. Nor do they isolate the effect of Lively’s fame from product, retail, marketing or other factors.
For that reason, “growth” is best understood here as documented expansion of the portfolio and reported reach—not as a verified financial growth trajectory. Historical availability statements and retailer channels can change, so they should not be treated as confirmation of where products can be purchased today.
