Best choice depends on what you want to keep live: for a 24/7 loop of uploaded videos, StreamNeo keeps a YouTube channel streaming from the cloud without leaving a computer on. For a live phone camera, IRL Pro alternatives such as Moblin or BELABOX matter when you need bonded mobile connections; for a fixed camera or a cloud-produced live show, consider an encoder or cloud studio instead. These are different workflows, not interchangeable versions of the same app.
First, separate the three meanings of “always on”
- Prerecorded loop: uploaded videos play repeatedly as a YouTube live stream. This does not broadcast a live camera.
- Live mobile camera: a phone or field rig sends footage while you move. Connection resilience, and possibly bonding multiple networks, is central.
- Fixed-camera or produced live video: a camera, studio, or browser-based production feeds a continuous live stream. The source and unattended operating setup determine the right tool.
IRL Pro is documented as an Android mobile-streaming app. It supports RTMP and SRT over a single connection, without bonding. It is therefore not a cloud service for looping prerecorded files or a complete 24/7 production system.
Best options by always-on workflow
- StreamNeo — best for a prerecorded YouTube loop. It runs uploaded videos from the cloud, so your computer can be off; any quality up to 4K 60fps streams as uploaded at one flat price per slot, and the first day is free.
- Moblin or BELABOX — consider for bonded mobile streaming. The cited protocol guide identifies them as SRTLA options for combining multiple links. This addresses mobile connectivity, not unattended playback of a video playlist.
- Gyre — a listed cloud option for prerecorded 24/7 streaming. YouTube’s encoder directory describes Gyre as a cloud-based tool for continuous streaming of prerecorded videos without a dedicated PC. Check current plan limits, channel eligibility, pricing, and recovery behavior directly before choosing it.
- Upstream — a listed browser-based option for continuous live production. YouTube describes it as a cloud studio for 24/7 live video streaming. The directory does not establish its current source restrictions, pricing, regional availability, or service-level commitments.
- AJA HELO Plus — hardware option for a compatible fixed-camera setup. YouTube lists it as a standalone H.264 encoder for direct YouTube Live streaming and simultaneous recording. Confirm camera compatibility and how the installation will operate unattended.
These descriptions reflect YouTube’s verified encoder directory and the cited product documentation; they are not a head-to-head performance test. The directory listing alone does not establish a service’s current terms or reliability guarantee.

When one connection is enough
IRL Pro supports RTMP and SRT, but its documented setup sends over one connection. SRT can recover packet loss within a configurable time buffer, making it a protocol option for a single mobile link where some network fluctuation is expected. A buffer can add latency; it does not combine networks.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
When you need multiple links
SRTLA is intended to spread a stream across multiple connections, such as two SIMs or a SIM plus Wi-Fi. The protocol guide identifies Moblin and BELABOX as SRTLA choices, and the IRL Pro documentation points to them for bonding. Check the specific rig, apps, and receiving setup you plan to use: bonding support is not the same as simply having RTMP or SRT available.
Relay and remote-control components
IRL.software describes IRLServer as relay infrastructure that accepts SRTLA, SRT, and RTMP and works with several IRL rigs, including BELABOX, Moblin, and LiveU. It is a relay or hosting component, not a phone capture app and not a documented prerecorded-loop service. The same site describes IRLControl as remote OBS and Moblin control.

If you need a prerecorded video live 24/7
Choose a service designed to play uploaded videos continuously rather than a phone encoder designed to send a live camera feed. YouTube’s directory lists Gyre for cloud-based prerecorded streaming. StreamNeo is another option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and start the stream. It loops from the cloud, so a home PC and connection do not need to stay on.

Before you start a continuous YouTube stream
Allow time for first-time live access
YouTube says, “Enabling a live stream for the first time may take up to 24 hours.” Enable live streaming and confirm the channel is ready before relying on a scheduled start.
Check rights and channel eligibility
Whether you use a phone, encoder, or cloud loop, you remain responsible for the content and the channel. Make sure you have rights to the video, music, and other material in a prerecorded playlist; permission to use a track does not necessarily mean it is free of every claim or restriction on YouTube. Review YouTube’s current live-streaming and monetization rules, including reused-content requirements, before building a channel around repeated or minimally changed material. A technical service cannot grant content rights or guarantee monetization.

Costs and checks before choosing
- For phone streaming: compare the total cost of the mobile rig, network links, and any relay or control services you need. Current prices and plan restrictions for the named mobile options are not established here; verify them with the providers.
- For cloud services: confirm current pricing, supported inputs, channel eligibility, geography, storage or playlist limits, and what happens after a dropped YouTube connection. A directory description is not a service-level guarantee.
- For hardware: include the compatible camera and any other installation requirements, and confirm how the encoder behaves after a power or network interruption.
- For a DIY computer setup: budget for power, internet, and a machine that remains on. A desktop encoder can be appropriate for a live production, but it is a different operating model from a cloud loop.
Troubleshooting common selection problems
- You expect IRL Pro to bond two SIMs: its cited setup documentation specifies a single connection. Look at an SRTLA-capable option such as Moblin or BELABOX for a multi-link workflow, and verify the full rig supports it.
- A phone-streaming app does not keep uploaded videos looping: it is built around sending a live camera feed. Choose a service explicitly described for prerecorded 24/7 playback instead.
- A cloud directory listing does not answer whether your source works: confirm supported inputs and restrictions with the provider before migrating or paying.
- Your first YouTube live stream is not available yet: first-time enablement can take up to 24 hours, so enable it in advance rather than troubleshooting the encoder first.
- A stream stops after a copyright or policy issue: check YouTube Studio notifications and resolve the underlying rights or policy issue. A reconnect feature can recover from a dropped connection; it cannot override a platform restriction.
