Short answer: the listed starting prices are close: CloudPe advertises India VPS from ₹930/month, while Endercloud lists a Mumbai plan from ₹999/month with 2 TB of monthly bandwidth. Neither price proves that a VPS can encode and deliver your particular 24/7 stream reliably. For a prerecorded archive, compare bandwidth and total cost with the time and work of maintaining an encoder; a managed cloud loop such as StreamNeo avoids keeping a VPS or home computer running.
What to compare before choosing a VPS
For a nonstop stream, the monthly transfer allowance can matter as much as CPU, memory, and port speed. Compare the recurring checkout price, included outbound transfer and overage rules, server region, storage, operating system, setup effort, and recovery process. Then test the actual archive and encoder settings unattended before relying on the host.
- Transfer: estimate the stream’s monthly data use at its intended bitrate, then leave room for protocol overhead and reconnections.
- Compute: a plan’s listed vCores and RAM do not establish that it will sustain your encoder, resolution, frame rate, or overlays.
- Operations: account for installation, updates, monitoring, restarts, and diagnosing a dropped stream.
- Content workflow: decide whether you need a continuously repeated archive or a genuinely live production with changing scenes and interaction.
India VPS listings to investigate
The figures below are provider listings accessed on October 3, 2026, not independent performance tests. Confirm the selected plan, region, recurring price, and terms at checkout.
| Option | Published listing | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| CloudPe VPS | Starting from ₹930/month; the provider advertises infrastructure in Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai and zero egress fees. | Availability and price for the chosen region and plan; what “zero egress” covers; any transfer limits; and sustained performance with your workload. |
| Endercloud INDIA-VPS-8GB | Starting at ₹999/month for Mumbai hosting; listed with 3 vCores, 8 GB DDR4 ECC RAM, 50 GB NVMe storage, 2 TB bandwidth, and a stated 1 Gbps port. | Current checkout price and billing terms; bandwidth measurement period and overage policy; and whether the resources sustain your encoder continuously. |
A 1 Gbps port describes a rate, not a monthly transfer allowance. It does not mean that a plan includes 1 TB or 2 TB of data, and a provider’s advertised port speed is not an encoder benchmark.

Estimate bandwidth for a 24/7 stream
Multiply the encoded bitrate by the number of seconds you stream, then divide bits by eight to estimate bytes. At 5 Mbps, a continuous 30-day stream uses about 1.62 TB in decimal units: 5 megabits/second Ă— 2,592,000 seconds Ă· 8. That is a calculation using YouTube’s recommended H.264 bitrate for 1080p at 30 fps, not a separate provider statistic. An allowance of 2 TB leaves limited headroom at that rate; allow extra for overhead and reconnections, and check how your provider counts traffic.
Choose settings for the actual programme and available upload capacity rather than treating a recommended bitrate as a universal target. A podcast video with a static image may have a different encoding workload from animated graphics, but the listed VPS offers do not establish performance for either case.

Prepare YouTube Live and the encoder
YouTube supports creator streams from encoder software or standalone encoder hardware. If live streaming has not previously been enabled for your channel, YouTube says initial activation can take up to 24 hours. Complete that step before scheduling a launch.
- Enable live streaming in YouTube Studio. Follow the channel’s live-stream setup prompts and allow for the possible activation delay.
- Create the live stream and get its stream key. Use the stream details provided by YouTube in your encoder. Treat the key as a secret: anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to that stream. Do not put it in public scripts, screenshots, or shared logs.
- Choose a supported ingest workflow. YouTube lists RTMP/RTMPS and supports H.264, H.265 (HEVC), and AV1 video options, with frame rates up to 60 fps. YouTube recommends encrypted RTMPS for RTMP delivery.
- Set the encoder deliberately. For RTMP/RTMPS, YouTube recommends constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval, with a maximum interval of four seconds. Its H.264 recommendations include 5 Mbps for 1080p30 and 3 Mbps for 720p30; corresponding AV1/H.265 recommendations are 10 Mbps and 6 Mbps. Match resolution and frame rate to the source and available upload capacity.
- Test before depending on the stream. YouTube recommends a test with audio and motion similar to the real programme, followed by monitoring stream health. Run the exact archive, encoder, VPS region, and settings unattended for a meaningful period before announcing a permanent broadcast.
For podcast archives, confirm that you have the rights to the audio, video, artwork, and any music in every episode. A live label does not change copyright obligations. YouTube’s policies and enforcement can affect a stream or channel; do not assume that owning a podcast file gives permission for every embedded asset or third-party recording.

Self-managed VPS or a cloud loop?
A VPS gives you control over the software and configuration, but you also operate the host and verify that it handles your workload. For an archive-only loop, a managed cloud service is another option: it runs uploaded recordings without requiring you to maintain an encoder server. StreamNeo’s site describes uploaded-video looping to YouTube, while StreamSetu advertises playlist scheduling and looping. These are vendor claims; check current features and terms directly.
| Approach | What it may suit | Trade-offs to assess |
|---|---|---|
| Self-managed VPS | Creators who want to configure and administer their own encoder host. | Monthly hosting plus transfer terms, installation, monitoring, updates, and recovery; confirm performance by testing. |
| Managed cloud loop | Creators who mainly want uploaded episodes to repeat without running their own server. | Compare recurring price, storage, output count, accepted media, restart behavior, account access, and retention terms; verify the workflow before purchase. |
StreamSetu’s page, as accessed October 3, 2026, showed ₹649 per channel per month plus ₹49 per 10 GB of storage, with 18% GST stated separately. Prices and feature terms can change; confirm them on the provider’s page.

Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo keeps an uploaded-video stream running on YouTube from the cloud. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; there is automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream; uploads stream as made up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for YouTube and uploaded videos, not camera broadcasting. See StreamNeo or start the free first day.
Common problems and fixes
The stream will not start
- Check that YouTube Live is enabled for the channel and activation is complete.
- Confirm that the encoder is using the current stream key and the correct ingest details for the scheduled stream. Replace a key if it may have been exposed.
- Check that the chosen protocol and video codec match YouTube’s supported ingest options and the encoder’s configuration.
The stream drops or has poor health
- Check the VPS’s network and transfer status, not just its advertised port speed. Compare actual outbound use with the plan’s allowance and measurement period.
- Verify stable upload capacity and encoder output at the selected bitrate. Test with the same motion and audio as the real archive.
- Use CBR and a two-second keyframe interval for RTMP/RTMPS; do not exceed a four-second interval.
- Monitor YouTube stream health, then run an unattended test long enough to expose restarts or interruptions.
Episodes do not play as expected
- Check the playlist order, file availability, and whether the encoder or cloud service is configured to loop the intended material.
- Review rights for each episode’s embedded music, clips, and artwork before broadcasting it continuously.
Cost decision
Compare the full monthly cost rather than the headline VPS price: hosting, transfer or overages, storage, and the time needed to administer and recover the stream. At the YouTube-recommended H.264 1080p30 bitrate example above, a 2 TB allowance has little spare capacity for a month-long broadcast. A managed loop has a different cost structure; weigh its current billing and storage terms against the VPS and the value of avoiding server upkeep. Neither a listing nor a feature page guarantees uninterrupted service or verified encoding capacity.
