Castr documents two distinct services. Its multistream product accepts one RTMP, SRT, or WHIP contribution feed and distributes it to connected social and custom destinations. Its listed destinations include YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitch, and custom RTMP or SRT endpoints. Castr’s product page lists 6 destinations on Starter, 10 on Standard, 20 on Premium, and 30 on Ultra and Events; these vendor-published limits are counted across the account and may change. Castr separately describes TV playout that schedules uploaded videos, recordings, and live streams into a continuous channel, with delivery through an embed, multistream, or HLS URL. Its TV playout page says one playout channel is included per plan and loop mode is available on Premium and higher. Those destination counts should not be read as counts of independent 24/7 playout channels. 3. Restream — destination relay; continuous playlist playout not established
Restream’s help article lists channel connection counts of up to 30, 45, 75, and 120 added channels on Free, Standard, Professional, and Business, respectively, and unlimited on Enterprise. Simultaneously enabled counts are 2, 3, 5, and 8, with Enterprise custom. These are channel-management figures from the help page, not proof of hosted 24/7 prerecorded playout. 4. StreamYard — produced live sessions and multistreaming
StreamYard lists multistreaming to 3 destinations on Core, 8 on Advanced, and 10 on Business. Its help page says users can stream to multiple pages or accounts at once on supported platforms, including YouTube. 5. Upstream — investigate for scheduled 24/7 streams
Upstream’s official quick-start documentation covers creating and scheduling a 24/7 livestream. The documentation available here does not establish how many separate YouTube channels or concurrent independent feeds are supported per plan; confirm those details before choosing it for a multi-channel operation. - Playout-channel count: Ask how many separately scheduled continuous feeds are included and how additional feeds are provisioned.
- Destination count: Check whether the limit applies per feed, per account, or across the account, and whether it covers YouTube accounts specifically.
- Scheduling controls: Verify playlist looping, timed schedules, recurring items, live inserts, and whether changes can be made while a stream is running.
- Source model: Establish whether the service plays uploaded files in the cloud or only relays a live encoder feed.
- Operations and limits: Confirm storage, bandwidth, stream duration, outage alerts, recovery behavior, support, and any fees or overages.
- Outputs: Decide whether you need only YouTube or also embeds, HLS, custom RTMP/SRT, or other platforms.
The published information reviewed here establishes one Castr playout channel per plan, but not the total number of separate 24/7 channels a customer can buy or run. Ask the provider for written confirmation that covers the exact plan and destinations you intend to use.

A third-party service does not bypass YouTube’s account rules. YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days to livestream. The same page states a limit of 10 active streams per channel and three active streams per stream key, with both limits applying simultaneously. Check YouTube’s current guidance for your account and location: YouTube Help: live streaming restrictions and limits.
YouTube’s cross-platform guide says enabling a first live stream takes at least 24 hours after the initial request. It also describes cloud-service encoders as receiving a high-quality feed and distributing it to selected channels, resolutions, or platforms. All livestream content must follow YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. YouTube also prohibits using another channel to get around a live-streaming restriction.
