The trailer for Apple TV+’s Before introduces Billy Crystal as Eli Adler, a child psychiatrist grieving his wife and drawn into a mystery surrounding a troubled boy. Apple describes the ten-episode limited series as a psychological thriller and supernatural mystery; the boy’s apparent connection to Eli’s past is the central question, not a revealed answer.
What is Before about?
Eli Adler has recently lost his wife, Lynn. In the trailer’s premise, his work brings him into contact with Noah, a troubled young boy who seems to have a haunting connection to Eli’s past. Apple’s official synopsis presents that link as a mystery rather than explaining what it means. The series is framed as an atmospheric, character-driven psychological thriller, with supernatural elements.
Apple’s official series page describes the story and lists the ten episodes. The trailer announcement also identifies the show as a supernatural mystery.
Who stars in the series?
- Billy Crystal plays Dr. Eli Adler and is an executive producer.
