The available reporting does not establish that Barron’s half-siblings attended, so descriptions of the occasion as involving the “entire family” go beyond what the published captions and reports confirm. The most accurate description is that Barron’s parents and maternal grandfather were present.
Why Donald Trump was able to attend
Donald Trump was appearing in Manhattan criminal court at the time of Barron’s senior-year milestones. However, the court did not hold proceedings on May 17, allowing Trump to travel to Florida for the graduation.
It is inaccurate to say the judge barred or refused to let him attend. The trial schedule included a day off. Trump was scheduled to headline the Minnesota Republican Party’s Lincoln-Reagan dinner later that evening, which could have limited the family’s plans after the ceremony. Published coverage did not establish whether a private celebration took place afterward.
A private event with public photographs
Oxbridge Academy’s commencement was described as an exclusive, private ceremony. The images released to news organizations show visible security around the Trump family and the event area.

At the time of the graduation reports, Barron’s next educational step had not been publicly announced. The coverage focused on the May 17 ceremony and did not provide a college choice, academic honors, GPA or class rank.
