Bad Bunny has described Debí Tirar Más Fotos as music made for Puerto Rico, and connected the album’s themes to a residency he framed as a welcome to people from different backgrounds and a way to care for the island and its culture. He has also spoken about approaching acting carefully, called his Happy Gilmore 2 role a dream, and said he hopes to wrestle again—without announcing a return date.
What is Bad Bunny’s album Debí Tirar Más Fotos about?
Bad Bunny told Residente, in an interview published in Billboard’s October 4, 2025 issue, “I wanted to make music for Puerto Rico.” That describes his stated intent for Debí Tirar Más Fotos; it is not a claim that every song has the same subject.
Vogue Mexico and Latin America’s May 2025 profile describes the record as a concept album and a love letter to Puerto Rico and its culture. It reports that Bad Bunny returned to Puerto Rico after touring and worked on the album there for three months, before leaving to film Happy Gilmore 2 and Caught Stealing.
How the album addresses the island
Vogue singles out “Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii” as a central emotional song. Its account highlights Puerto Rican instruments, including güiro and cuatro, and reads the song as expressing concern about land and beaches being sold to foreigners. That is Vogue’s interpretation of the song’s themes; it should not be treated as independent evidence about land sales or as a policy analysis.

How did Bad Bunny connect the residency to Puerto Rico?
In the same Billboard interview, Bad Bunny described the residency as a communal experience and said it was intended to welcome people from different backgrounds while taking care of Puerto Rico and its culture. He called it “unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.” Those are his descriptions of its purpose and character, not an independent assessment of its economic or social effects.
He also discussed the residency’s house-like stage set, saying it drew on the album and on Jacobo Morales. In that framing, the shows extended the album’s cultural ideas into a shared live setting rather than standing apart from them.

What role does Bad Bunny play in Happy Gilmore 2?
Bad Bunny has said he wanted to approach acting carefully, with respect for the craft and a willingness to learn incrementally. He told Residente that comedy was the genre he consumed most, and called the opportunity to do something “lighthearted and fun” in Happy Gilmore 2 a dream.
Netflix Tudum’s February 2, 2026 article identifies Bad Bunny as Happy Gilmore’s caddie in the sequel. That is the role description established here; it does not, by itself, support claims about the character’s story or screen time.

Will Bad Bunny return to WWE?
Bad Bunny has expressed interest in wrestling again, but no return date or booking is established. Asked by Rolling Stone whether he would wrestle again, he said, “I want to do it one more time,” then added, “When? I don’t know.” He also said he hoped to have more time to prepare physically.
WWE’s official page describes Bad Bunny as proud to host Backlash in Puerto Rico. His comments to Rolling Stone point to interest in another appearance, not a confirmed event, contract, or scheduled comeback.
