Avatar: Seven Havens is a new 2D-animated series set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender, after the events of The Legend of Korra. It follows Pavi, an Earthbender who discovers she is the new Avatar in a world transformed by catastrophe—and where people fear the Avatar as a destroyer.
What is Avatar: Seven Havens about?
Pavi becomes the Avatar in the aftermath of a devastating cataclysm that has reshaped the world. Rather than being welcomed as a protector, she is feared and hunted by human and spirit enemies. She joins forces with her long-lost twin, Nisha, to uncover their origins and try to save the Seven Havens, the remaining strongholds of civilization.

The official premise establishes the cataclysm and its consequences, but does not explain the event’s cause or full history. Those details remain part of the story rather than settled background lore.
Where does it fit in the Avatar universe?
Seven Havens is a new story set after The Legend of Korra, not a remake or live-action adaptation. Its central change is a new Avatar: Pavi, an Earthbender living in a world that regards the Avatar with suspicion. The series is animated in 2D and is produced by Avatar Studios and Nickelodeon Animation Studios.
