What happened after 90 Day Fiancé Season 11?
Their Season 11 relationship status is not their current status. TV Insider’s retrospective identifies their first franchise appearance as 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 5 in 2023. The couple’s earlier on-screen milestones and 2025 interview provide context, but do not indicate that they are still together now.
When did they separate, and when did Shekinah file?

The eight-month estimate is Sarper’s own description; the September 22 date is the separation date reportedly listed in court documents. These are related but distinct timeline details. A divorce filing begins a legal process; it is not proof that a judge has finalized the divorce.

What have Sarper and Shekinah said about the breakup?
Their accounts differ, and claims about why the relationship ended should be understood as each person’s account rather than independently established facts.
Shekinah’s account
TV Insider reported that Shekinah said she skipped the Tell All to protect her mental health and described conflicts involving Sarper’s comedy material and their relationship. She said, “My mental health is more valuable than the opinions of the other cast,” according to TV Insider.
Speaking about her filing, Shekinah told TMZ: “Filing for divorce was not a decision I made lightly or without heartbreak, but I’ve reached a point of no return.”

In a statement quoted by TV Insider, Sarper said they had been separated for at least eight months and that neither saw themselves as married anymore. He also disputed that he chose fame or money over Shekinah, saying, “I never chose fame or money over her.”
Are they legally divorced?
That is not established by the reporting available as of October 8, 2026. The confirmed status supported by the cited coverage is that the couple separated and Shekinah filed for divorce. Do not treat the filing, the reported separation date or either person’s statement about no longer seeing themselves as married as proof of a final divorce judgment.
