Nicole Brown Simpson’s sister Dominique Brown says Sydney and Justin Simpson prefer to stay out of the spotlight and raise their families. That is a relative’s description, not a direct statement from either sibling: neither Sydney nor Justin is quoted in the cited coverage.
What Nicole Brown Simpson’s family has said about Sydney and Justin
In a May 24, 2024 interview with PEOPLE, Dominique Brown said of her niece and nephew: “At this point, I think they would prefer to just stay low-key and raise their families.” The report described both as parents and working in real estate at that time; those details are dated reporting, not a current update on their private lives.

Dominique also recalled that her sister Nicole preferred being behind the camera. “I think that Nicole was that way. Nicole preferred to be behind the camera. I think that when she was younger and they would do videos, she would try to hide herself from the camera like, ‘Don’t take my picture.’” Her comparison offers context for the headline’s “like their mom” framing, but it does not establish what Sydney or Justin have said about their own preferences.
What their aunts said about privacy
In a separate interview published by Entertainment Tonight on May 29, 2024, Dominique said: “They have their own families. They live normal lives. They want to be left alone and they have children of their own.” Their aunt Denise Brown added: “Please leave them alone.” Together, the interviews show relatives asking for the siblings’ privacy rather than offering a detailed account of their present-day lives.

Why the family has guarded their privacy
PEOPLE reported that Sydney was 8 and Justin was 5 when their mother was murdered in 1994. They were asleep upstairs at Nicole’s Brentwood home, and relatives sought to shield them from the intense public attention that followed. The circumstances help explain the family’s emphasis on privacy without requiring speculation about the siblings’ feelings or experiences.
