Are Friends and The Big Bang Theory leaving Netflix India?
As of October 8, 2026, Netflix India lists both sitcoms in its official TV-sitcom catalog. That confirms they are listed, not that Netflix has guaranteed their continued availability. The reviewed sources do not announce a Netflix removal date for either show.
To check for a specific departure notice, open the show’s Details page in Netflix and look for “Last day to watch on Netflix.” Netflix says the notice also appears briefly when playback starts. As a more recent secondary check, JustWatch’s India page for The Big Bang Theory, updated October 7, 2026, listed Netflix and JioHotstar as streaming services. JustWatch is a catalog tracker, not the rights holder or streaming platform, and this check specifically concerned The Big Bang Theory.

Why can a show leave a streaming service?
Netflix says titles can leave when licensing agreements end or rights are not renewed. It identifies rights availability, popularity in a region, and licensing cost among the factors it considers. Those general factors do not establish a specific expiry date for Friends or The Big Bang Theory in India.
