Spoilers for major Season 2 character and finale details. Arcane’s strongest League of Legends Easter eggs make the game’s world feel lived in: an undercity sanctuary dedicated to Janna, a familiar Jinx song in a fight, and visual hints that connect Warwick and Ekko to their champion designs. This ranking weighs how clearly Netflix’s production coverage confirms each reference, how easy it is to spot, and what it adds to the show’s characters or world. It is an editorial ranking, not an official Riot or Netflix list.
Arcane adapts and expands the League of Legends universe, with Powder/Jinx and Vi at its center. Season 2 concludes the series’ story, so these references work both as rewards for players and as details that deepen the setting for viewers who came to Runeterra through the show. Netflix’s champion guide and its Season 2 guide provide the broader context.
What League of Legends Easter eggs are in Arcane Season 2?
These are the six most notable connections, ordered by the strength of their confirmation, how readily a viewer can notice them, and their story payoff. The first three are especially clear on-screen callbacks; the later entries are production-confirmed links between the show’s world and League champion lore or design.
- Janna’s undercity sanctuary
- “Get Jinxed” during the Sevika fight
- “Dear Friend Across the River” in the finale
- Warwick’s wolf-like design
- The Black Rose’s threat around Mel
- Ekko’s finale look foreshadowing his champion design
1. Janna’s sanctuary gives Zaun’s lore a place
In Episode 3, Jinx sets a trap for Vi in the ruins of a temple dedicated to Janna, an ancient spirit. Netflix’s Season 2 making-of guide identifies the sanctuary and its connection directly.

- Unlocks in-game currency that can be used to purchase in-game items
- Redeemable in League of Legends, Valorant, Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, and 2XKO

- This code is only redeemable on Riot Accounts in North America and Canada
The setting is more than a name-drop: it makes an old belief part of the undercity’s physical landscape. One possible reading is that the temple gives added resonance to stories of protection remembered by the sisters, including Vander’s tales. That is a thematic interpretation, rather than a separate plot fact confirmed by Netflix. For viewers asking who Janna is in Arcane, the clearest answer is that she is an ancient spirit whose presence survives in Zaun through this ruined place.
2. “Get Jinxed” returns in the Sevika fight
During the Episode 2 fight between Jinx and Sevika, listen for Djerv’s “Get Jinxed.” Netflix’s soundtrack feature calls it a familiar tune and notes that co-creator Christian Linke wrote the song in 2013. Netflix’s making-of coverage also traces the Riot and Fortiche collaboration back to the 2012 “Get Jinxed” video.
That makes the music a particularly direct bridge between the show and Jinx’s League-era identity. It is easy to miss amid the action, but players who recognize the track get an unmistakable audio callback.

3. The finale echoes Powder’s first song
“Dear Friend Across the River” links the opening and ending of Arcane. Netflix reports that young Powder hums the song near the beginning of the series and that Vi hums it in the final moments. The repeated melody gives the sisters’ story a quiet musical bookend.

This is best understood as a callback within Arcane, not a League game-mechanic reference. Its payoff comes from the show’s own emotional history, even as the series sits within the wider League universe.
4. Warwick’s wolf aspect reaches the screen
Is Warwick in Arcane? Yes: Season 2 brings the League champion into the story, though the show’s version should not be treated as a scene-for-scene or lore-for-lore match with the game. Netflix’s making-of guide says Warwick resembles a werewolf more closely in League and that the show’s artists used wild-animal elements to evoke his wolf aspect.

The design is a visual translation of a recognizable champion trait. In the series, it also connects the character’s appearance to Singed’s experiments, giving the game reference a role in Arcane’s own narrative.
5. The Black Rose becomes a threat around Mel
The Black Rose shifts from a faction name into an active danger in Episode 8, when Mel encounters a sorceress associated with the group. Netflix’s production guide connects Mel’s changed appearance afterward to her discovery of mage magic.
The reveal matters because it puts a League-linked faction directly into Mel’s story and makes its influence consequential to the season. Netflix’s guide does not identify the sorceress as LeBlanc, so that name should not be presented as confirmed.

6. Ekko’s finale look nods toward his champion design
Ekko is not yet the same champion viewers meet in League, according to Netflix’s making-of guide. The guide describes his look in the series finale as a send-up of who he later becomes. That supports reading the design as visual foreshadowing, not as proof that he fully becomes the game version or acquires its mechanics.
The nod rewards players who recognize the champion while leaving room for Arcane’s own timeline and characterization.
How the on-screen references differ from game promotions
Riot also promoted Arcane through its games during Season 2, but those activations are not Easter eggs hidden in the episodes. In a November 9, 2024 League update, Riot listed Ambessa, an Arcane-themed Bridge of Progress ARAM map for patches 14.22–14.24, and a Jinx in-client minigame that rewarded an exclusive Singed skin. Those patch windows are historical; the update does not establish that the content is currently playable.
A separate November 22, 2024 Riot roundup described Arcane activations across League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, VALORANT, and 2XKO. These dated promotions show how broadly Riot tied the season to its games, but they are distinct from the show’s story references.
