Arcane’s story ends with Season 2, but the wider world of League of Legends may still reach the screen. Co-creator Christian Linke has described future adaptations as distinct projects, not a formulaic continuation—and the regions he named are not a confirmed list of three separate shows.
Does Arcane continue after Season 2?
No: Netflix describes Season 2 as the conclusion to Arcane’s story. Linke has also said he had a specific ending in mind for the series. That ending does not rule out new stories elsewhere in Runeterra, the fictional world of League of Legends.
Netflix’s Season 2 guide draws the distinction in Linke’s own words: “ARCANE is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche Production.” The series is the completed story; the larger storytelling journey is a separate prospect.
What kind of future shows does co-creator Christian Linke envision?
Linke has argued for variety rather than simply reproducing Arcane’s look and tone. In an interview with Gizmodo’s io9, he said future animated projects should have their own artistic styles, tailored to the stories they are meant to tell. He also framed project selection as a balance of what audiences might enjoy, what the creators find compelling, and what the team does well.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
That approach leaves room for very different stories in the same universe. Linke put the case for experimentation plainly: “If you don’t [experiment], then why do animation at all?” A future adaptation might share Runeterra with Arcane without looking or feeling like a sequel.
Which Runeterra regions has Riot named?
In a November 26, 2024 interview, Linke named Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia as regions to explore in future League of Legends adaptations involving Riot, Netflix, and Fortiche. TechRadar reported that the projects were in very early development at the time.

The region list is not a one-to-one slate of three confirmed shows. TechRadar also reported that Riot co-founder Marc Merrill clarified the regions would not each receive their own separate show. The coverage does not establish which region would come first, which characters would appear, or when anything might be released.
Could a future show be more whimsical?
Linke has expressed interest in exploring more whimsical storytelling in Runeterra. In a ComicBook interview, that interest prompted the outlet to suggest Bandle City as a possible fit. That is the outlet’s interpretation, not Linke confirming Bandle City as a setting or Riot announcing a project there.
