In the story, screens at other stands fail while the BetterBag team carries on. That is the ad’s premise—not evidence that Macs are immune to outages or categorically more secure than Windows PCs.
What happens in Apple’s “BSOD” video?
The Apple at Work installment follows the recurring Underdogs characters and their BetterBag team at ContainerCon. As Blue Screen of Death screens appear on computers and displays at other stands, BetterBag remains active and helps fellow attendees. AppleInsider’s October 7, 2025 report says the team scans business cards with an iPad Pro, shares presentations and signs contracts during the convention.
The video also features or mentions AirDrop, Apple Intelligence, Apple Music, Memoji, Apple News and Apple Watch Mindfulness Alerts. Those are appearances in the campaign, not confirmation that every feature is available in every region or device configuration.
What security claim does the ad make?
AppleInsider reports that a support agent in the video explains the scenario by referring to endpoint detection and response tools and other systems intended to protect the kernel. The agent’s dialogue includes: “It’s a PC problem, your Macs are secure.” That line is spoken by a fictional character in Apple’s promotional video, not offered as an independent expert assessment.

The story does not provide technical specifications for those protections or comparative security testing. It also does not establish what caused the fictional Windows outage, whether any particular security product would prevent a real Blue Screen of Death, or that macOS cannot experience outages. A dramatic contrast in a commercial is not a measured comparison of operating systems.
Which Apple devices appear?
The campaign names a Mac mini and an iPad Pro. The iPad Pro is used to scan business cards; Mac minis feature in the closing sequence. AppleInsider reports that a Mac mini is given to another team and that Mac minis are distributed at the event’s end. The report does not identify the Mac mini generation or configuration.

Why the video is worth watching
“BSOD” uses the Underdogs’ workplace comedy to make a business-security message memorable: when other teams are disrupted, BetterBag’s Apple setup is shown staying productive. The useful distinction for viewers is between what the story depicts and what it proves. The campaign offers a fictional scenario and Apple’s promotional framing, not evidence that choosing a Mac guarantees uninterrupted work or settles the broader security comparison between macOS and Windows.
