Who was eligible?
The promotion was advertised for new and returning subscribers. Existing Apple TV subscribers were excluded, as were subscriptions billed through third parties such as another platform, carrier, or provider.
“Returning” was not a guarantee that every former subscriber qualified. User reports in the MacRumors discussion describe some canceled accounts receiving ineligibility or prior-trial messages. For households that want both services, Apple’s bundle page lists Apple TV plus Peacock Premium at $14.99 per month (Peacock with ads) and Apple TV plus Peacock Premium Plus at $19.99 per month (Peacock ad-free). Apple says the bundle saves more than 30% versus separate subscriptions, and that it has no free trial, discounted launch offer, or annual plan.
