Yes—Apple TV (formerly Apple TV+) is available as a paid add-on inside Prime Video in the United States. It is not included with a standard Amazon Prime membership. You subscribe separately through Amazon, then watch Apple programming in the Prime Video interface. Prices, trials and available titles are shown at checkout and can vary by location and over time.
What arrived on Prime Video
Amazon announced the U.S. Apple TV add-on on October 9, 2024, with availability later that month. The arrangement puts Apple’s streaming service inside Prime Video as a separate subscription channel. Amazon said subscribers could watch through Prime Video without downloading another app.
That is different from ordinary Prime access. Prime Video is the storefront and playback location; Apple TV remains a separately billed service. You do not automatically receive its catalog just because you have Prime.
What you can watch
The catalog changes, so the following is representative rather than exhaustive. Amazon’s launch announcement highlighted Severance, Slow Horses, The Morning Show, Presumed Innocent, Shrinking, Hijack, Loot, Palm Royale and Silo, along with films such as Wolfs and The Instigators and selected Major League Soccer and Major League Baseball programming (Amazon’s announcement).

Apple’s current U.S. offer page also promotes The Studio, Ted Lasso, Your Friends & Neighbors, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, the film The Gorge, Friday Night Baseball, MLS and Formula 1 in the United States beginning in 2026 (Apple’s offer page). Neither list should be treated as a permanent, complete catalog; Amazon says titles and availability can change by country and over time (Prime Video availability terms).

The $9.99 figure is the 2024 launch price, not a guaranteed current rate. Apple currently lists the standalone U.S. service at $12.99 per month directly from Apple (Apple). Amazon’s channel price is a separate commercial offer, so use the amount displayed on the Prime Video Apple TV storefront when you sign up. The Peacock bundle is described as limited time; check both availability and price before paying (Amazon bundle details; Apple’s announcement).

Choose Amazon when one Prime Video interface, one household billing relationship or an Amazon promotion matters most. Choose Apple when you prefer Apple’s native app and account management, or when its direct offer is cheaper for your situation. Before starting either route, check that you are not already paying the other company for the same service.
How to subscribe through Prime Video
- Open Prime Video and go to the Apple TV add-on or its subscription storefront.
- Review the displayed monthly price, trial terms and included programming.
- Confirm the subscription with the Amazon account shown on screen.
- Watch eligible Apple TV programs in Prime Video.
Button names and placement can differ by device, account and region. Amazon’s launch announcement described the service as watchable directly in Prime Video, without another app download.

How to cancel an Amazon-billed subscription
- Open Prime Video and select Account & Settings.
- Choose Subscriptions from the top menu.
- Find the Apple TV add-on.
- Select Cancel subscription; Amazon may label the control Withdraw or use similar wording.
- Confirm and note the end date shown on screen.
Access generally continues until the displayed end date, and cancellation does not necessarily refund earlier charges (Amazon’s cancellation instructions). Subscriptions normally renew automatically at the then-current recurring fee unless you cancel (Amazon subscription terms). If a third party handled billing, cancel through that provider (Amazon’s third-party billing guidance).

Prime Video combines several access models: subscription channels, rentals, purchases, pay-per-view and free ad-supported programming (Prime Video content models). Seeing an Apple-branded title in search results therefore does not prove it is included with Prime or with the Apple TV add-on. Check whether the screen says Included with subscription, Subscribe, Rent or Buy.

If a subscribed title will not play, possible causes include regional restrictions, a catalog change, use of a different Amazon account, a rental or purchase requirement, or an outdated or unsupported device. Amazon’s terms allow content, features, pricing, language options and availability to vary by location and time.
Service names that are easy to confuse
- Apple TV: Apple’s streaming service, formerly marketed as Apple TV+.
- Apple TV app: The application used to watch Apple’s service and, in some markets, other channels.
- Apple TV 4K: Apple’s physical streaming device.
- Prime Video: Amazon’s app and storefront hosting the paid Apple TV channel.
The original announcement covered the United States and said other territories would follow; it did not establish worldwide availability. Confirm your country’s storefront before subscribing.
Bottom line
Apple TV programming is available inside U.S. Prime Video, but it is a separate paid add-on—not free Prime content. Amazon is the more convenient route for viewers who want one app and one bill; Apple direct is preferable for those who want Apple’s own interface and billing. Compare the live prices, check for an existing subscription and read the access label on each title before you pay.
