On November 6, 2025, Apple TV released two separate trailers for two very different original series: the natural-history docuseries Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age and the French-language thriller The Hunt.
The original report presented both as upcoming 2025 premieres. Those dates are now historical. Apple later listed The Hunt for March 4, 2026, while Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age was originally reported to premiere on November 26, 2025.

Two trailers, two completely different Apple TV originals
The trailer release was notable because the shows have little in common beyond their Apple TV home. One is a cinematic reconstruction of Ice Age ecosystems; the other is a dark international mystery about guilt, secrecy and revenge.
The November 6 coverage from 9to5Mac described the titles as two of Apple TV’s final planned 2025 premieres. That framing was accurate at the time, but readers finding the story now should treat it as a historical trailer-drop report rather than a current announcement.

Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age
Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age is a five-part natural-history docuseries and a new Ice Age-focused installment in the broader Prehistoric Planet franchise. Rather than returning to a dinosaur-dominated setting, it shifts attention to the mammals and other megafauna that lived in harsh Ice Age environments.
The series is narrated by Tom Hiddleston, with Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton serving as executive producers. Production comes from the BBC Studios Natural History Unit.

Its appeal is the combination of ecological storytelling and large-scale visual reconstruction: prehistoric animals facing extreme conditions, competing for resources and adapting to an unforgiving world. Because the animals and environments are recreated with computer-generated imagery, it is more accurate to describe the program as a natural-history documentary presented through visual reconstruction—not as footage of living animals in the Ice Age.

The Hunt
The Hunt, also identified by Apple as The Hunt (Traqués), is a French-language thriller/mystery directed by Guillaume Renusson.
The story follows friends on a hunting trip who become involved in a deadly confrontation with another group of hunters. After concealing what happened, they begin to suspect that someone is watching them—and hunting them in return. The hunting trip is the catalyst, but the series is fundamentally about shared guilt, moral compromise, retaliation and the way a secret can destabilize ordinary life.

Benoît Magimel stars as Franck and Mélanie Laurent plays Krystel. Damien Bonnard is also part of the principal cast. Apple’s official press page currently lists the series’ release date as March 4, 2026, replacing the December 3, 2025 date cited in the original November coverage.
Apple’s current U.S. listing describes season one as six episodes. It identifies French as the original audio and lists English audio and subtitles among the available options in the United States. The current U.S. listing also shows a TV-MA rating; ratings and language options can vary by territory.

Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age is the obvious choice for viewers who want prehistoric wildlife, visual spectacle and a natural-history format. The Hunt is aimed at viewers who prefer a compact serialized thriller in which a single concealed event drives escalating paranoia and retaliation.

Both titles are Apple TV originals and are available through the Apple TV streaming service, not specifically through an Apple TV 4K device. Hardware is optional; the relevant requirement is access to the service.
Apple’s current U.S. listing for The Hunt shows a seven-day free trial followed by $12.99 per month. Eligibility, pricing, catalog access, release timing, ratings, audio tracks and subtitles may differ outside the United States and can change over time.
