Apple TV—formerly branded Apple TV+—is the exclusive subscription-streaming home for the covered Peanuts television catalog through 2030. The arrangement includes classic specials, other library programs, and Apple-original Peanuts series and specials. It does not necessarily give Apple every Peanuts right in every format or country, and it does not guarantee that every title is available at all times.
Apple announced the five-year extension on October 1, 2025, with WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide, and Lee Mendelson Film Productions. WildBrain issued a matching announcement. The public statements describe the commercial scope, not every territorial, physical-media, broadcast, purchase, or theatrical provision in the underlying agreement.

What the 2030 Peanuts agreement covers
Apple says it has housed the classic Peanuts library since 2020 and began original collaborations in 2018. The extension runs through 2030 and covers the classic television library plus new original Peanuts series and specials. Read the announcement from Apple and the confirmation from WildBrain.
“Exclusive streaming home” means Apple is the primary authorized subscription-streaming destination for that covered catalog. It is not the same as Apple owning the Peanuts brand, nor does it establish that every Peanuts production ever made is permanently available worldwide.

These remain part of the classic library. Catalog availability can change, so search Apple TV for the current listing rather than assuming an old link or an earlier seasonal schedule still applies.

Apple has also announced an original Peanuts feature project, currently promoted as Snoopy Unleashed. Its theatrical, digital-purchase, and eventual streaming treatment should not be inferred from the television agreement; Apple’s feature-film announcement is the relevant source.

What “exclusive” means for viewers
During the partnership period, viewers should generally look to Apple TV rather than another subscription streamer for the covered Peanuts specials and programs. The phrase does not promise identical availability in every country, a fixed title list, or uninterrupted access: individual titles can arrive later, leave temporarily, or be subject to regional licensing and device restrictions.
Apple has historically opened major holiday specials to non-subscribers for short promotional windows. That is temporary, title-specific access—not permanent free streaming, an ad-supported Peanuts channel, or a continuing broadcast schedule. Apple had not published the 2026 holiday dates in the information available for this article, so check an official Apple announcement before relying on a free window.
Apple TV+ versus the Apple TV app and Apple TV 4K
The service was widely called Apple TV+; Apple’s current consumer pages and 2026 press materials generally call it Apple TV. The Apple TV app is the software used to browse and play the service. Apple TV 4K is optional streaming hardware. You do not need to buy the box to watch Peanuts.
How to watch Peanuts on Apple TV
- Open the Apple TV app on a supported device or visit tv.apple.com.
- Sign in with an Apple Account.
- Start the seven-day trial if you are eligible, or begin a paid subscription.
- Search for “Peanuts,” “Charlie Brown,” or “Snoopy.”
- Choose the classic special, library program, series, or original special you want to play.
Apple’s U.S. page listed $12.99 per month after seven days free on August 18, 2026. That is a U.S. price observed on that date, not a worldwide rate; taxes, promotions, bundles, and regional pricing can differ. A trial becomes a paid subscription unless canceled under Apple’s terms.

Supported devices
Apple lists the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, Apple TV 4K and HD, compatible Samsung, LG, Sony, VIZIO, TCL and other smart TVs, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation, Xbox, and the web. Device generations, operating-system versions, countries, and individual titles can affect availability. Apple’s current device information is at apple.com/apple-tv.
Offline viewing
Apple says subscribers can download Apple Originals to Apple devices for offline viewing. Do not assume every classic Peanuts title has identical download rights; check the individual title page and device.

Apple TV is a weaker fit if your household already has several services, lacks compatible hardware or reliable broadband, or would cancel immediately after watching a single special. Apple TV 4K is not required; use an existing supported television, streaming stick, console, phone, tablet, computer, or browser.
If a Peanuts title is missing
- Search the title directly and verify the Apple Account’s country or region.
- Update the Apple TV app and the device operating system.
- Confirm that the device model is supported.
- Check that you are signed into the account carrying the subscription.
- Make sure the title is included with Apple TV rather than listed as a separate rental or purchase.
- For a promotional free window, check Apple’s official start and end times instead of an old social-media post.
- If you do not want a trial to renew, cancel it before the renewal date using the subscription-management path for the device or billing method used.
Menus and playback features are not identical on every platform, and regional catalogs can differ even while the partnership remains in force.
