Apple TV is available as a separate paid add-on inside Prime Video in multiple markets; an Amazon Prime membership alone does not include it. Availability, price, and catalog vary by country, so check the subscription offer shown in your local Prime Video account before signing up.
What the Prime Video offer is
Amazon announced the U.S. launch in October 2024, describing Apple TV as a subscription add-on that customers could watch within Prime Video, without installing a separate Apple TV app for that viewing route. Amazon also said subscribers could cancel at any time. The offer is therefore a different way to subscribe to Apple TV, not a benefit included free with Prime.
Amazon’s announcement quoted Prime Video executive Mike Hopkins saying the goal was to make it easier for customers to personalize their experience in one app. Apple executive Eddy Cue described the distribution as a way to make Apple TV’s series and films available to more viewers. Where it is available and how much it costs
Prices and availability are local, and the available announcements do not establish a complete current country list or a current price for every market. Amazon France announced that Apple TV launched through Prime Video in France on April 21, 2026, at €9.99 per month or €99 per year. That announcement named 17 earlier markets: Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Canada, India, Japan, and Mexico. These are markets named in that dated announcement, not a verified complete list for today. See Amazon France’s launch announcement.

Amazon’s October 2024 U.S. launch announcement listed $9.99 per month as the add-on price at launch; that historical figure should not be treated as the current U.S. price. Apple’s own U.S. service page shows a separate direct subscription offer, not the Prime Video add-on’s price. For either route, check the terms and amount displayed where you plan to subscribe. How to subscribe and watch
- Open Prime Video in your market. Sign in to the account you want to use for billing and playback.
- Find Apple TV in the subscriptions or add-on area. Review the displayed local price, billing interval, renewal terms, and cancellation details before confirming.
- Subscribe if the offer suits you. Amazon described playback within Prime Video and cancellation at any time for the U.S. launch offer; confirm the terms on your local subscription screen.
- Watch through Prime Video on a compatible device. Apple lists Amazon Fire TV devices among supported ways to watch Apple TV, but hardware is optional. Check compatibility for the exact device model and the apps available in your region. Apple’s service page lists supported devices.
What you can watch
Amazon’s launch announcement highlighted series including Severance, Slow Horses, The Morning Show, Presumed Innocent, Shrinking, Hijack, and Loot, as well as films such as Wolfs and The Instigators. It also cited Major League Soccer and Major League Baseball programming. Those were examples in the 2024 announcement, not a promise of today’s full catalog: titles, sports rights, and availability can change by market and date. Check the Prime Video listing in your location for what is currently offered.

Choosing between Prime Video and a direct Apple TV subscription
The choice is mainly about where you want to manage and watch the subscription. Prime Video provides an in-app add-on route; subscribing directly through Apple is a separate route. Compare the current local price, billing relationship, device and app convenience, cancellation terms, and any bundle eligibility before choosing. The available information does not establish enough current terms for a universal value comparison.
Amazon has also announced a U.S. Apple TV and Peacock Premium Plus bundle for $19.99 per month as a limited-time offer. Because availability and terms can change, confirm that it is still offered and compare current separate-subscription prices before deciding whether it saves money. Amazon’s bundle announcement.
