Ireland is also a mother herself. Her daughter, Holland, is Alec Baldwin’s granddaughter. This makes Ireland the link between Alec’s adult first family and the much younger children raised by Alec and Hilaria.
Although Ireland is included in Alec Baldwin’s total of eight children, she is not counted among the seven children featured as Alec and Hilaria’s children in TLC’s The Baldwins.

Eduardo’s birth is sometimes discussed alongside María Lucía’s because the two children arrived only months apart. They are not twins: Eduardo was born on September 8, 2020, while María Lucía was born on February 25, 2021.
7. María Lucía Victoria Baldwin
Born: February 25, 2021
María Lucía’s full name is María Lucía Victoria Baldwin. She is also referred to as Lucía, Lucia or Marilu.
Contemporaneous reporting identified María Lucía’s arrival as a surrogate birth. That detail applies specifically to María Lucía; it should not be generalized to all seven of Alec and Hilaria’s children.
Because she was born roughly five and a half months after Eduardo, Hilaria has described the two as having a twin-like relationship. In the literal sense, however, they are not twins.

8. Ilaria Catalina Irena Baldwin
Born: September 22, 2022
Ilaria is Alec and Hilaria Baldwin’s seventh child together and their youngest. Her full announced name is Ilaria Catalina Irena Baldwin.
Her birth completed the sequence of seven children the couple welcomed over nine years, from Carmen in 2013 through Ilaria in 2022.
Why the family is described as having seven or eight children
The different numbers reflect two different questions:
- How many children does Alec Baldwin have? Eight: Ireland, Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo, Eduardo, María Lucía and Ilaria.
- How many children do Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have together? Seven: Carmen through Ilaria.
