How Age of Attraction hides the contestants’ ages
Age of Attraction is an eight-episode, TV-MA Netflix reality-dating series hosted by Nick Viall and Natalie Joy. The contestants meet at a mountain retreat and can discuss many details about themselves—but not their ages at the start of the experiment.
That makes the show different from a conventional dating series and from the pod-based format of Love Is Blind. Couples can enter the Promise Room, exchange commitment rings and reveal their ages. Those who continue then move in together, meet one another’s friends and family, and face the Commitment Ceremony, where they decide whether to stay together or leave single.

Theresa said that if she had known John’s age at the beginning, she would not have dated him. They did not remain a romantic couple, although the post-finale reporting described them as supportive friends. Their outcome is an important reminder that the program’s experiment is about more than whether contestants can feel an initial spark before learning an age; it also tests what happens after the information is known.
The two couples who were still together
Vanessa Drozda and Logan Goodrid: 20 years
Vanessa was 49 and Logan was 29, a 20-year difference. The pair remained together after the show, and Logan proposed following a Commitment Ceremony fake-out. Netflix later reported that they were engaged and planning their future while managing a long-distance relationship.
They were reported as engaged—not married. No wedding date was confirmed in the post-finale update.
Libby Vodicka and Andrew Wheeler: 16 years
Libby was 22 and Andrew was 38, giving them a 16-year gap. They left the experiment as a couple and continued dating long distance. At the time of Netflix’s update, they were seeing each other approximately every three weeks while working toward closing the distance.
The other principal couples who split
Pfeiffer Hill and Derrick Fleming: 20 years
Pfeiffer Hill was 23 and Derrick Fleming was 43. Their 20-year gap matched Vanessa and Logan’s, but their relationship did not continue. Pfeiffer and Derrick initially committed during the experiment, then ended the relationship roughly a month after filming as the practical realities and logistics of life outside the retreat became more difficult.
Leah Woolfolk and Chris Dahlan: 15 years
Leah was 41 and Chris was 26, a 15-year difference—the smallest gap among the six main couples. Chris ended the relationship at the Commitment Ceremony and later said that age had influenced how he viewed the relationship.

Their story complicates any simple assumption that the largest numerical gap automatically creates the greatest difficulty. The show’s outcomes also involved readiness, expectations and how each person understood the relationship after leaving the controlled environment.
Vanelle Fenmou and Jorge Sanchez: 33 years
Although Vanelle and Jorge had the season’s most striking number, their breakup was reported alongside broader compatibility issues, including communication and lifestyle differences. It is more accurate to describe age as one factor in the couple’s situation than to claim that the 33-year gap alone determined the outcome.
The additional West and Joleen pairing
Netflix’s post-finale coverage also profiled West, 30, and Joleen, 48, an 18-year age gap. Their connection did not progress because Joleen was not ready to commit to moving in together, and Netflix listed them as no longer together.
They are best treated as an additional or early pairing rather than added to the six headline couples. Netflix’s coverage describes six couples as the principal season-long pairings, while West and Joleen are documented separately.

How many Age of Attraction couples are still together?
Two of the six principal couples were still together in Netflix’s post-finale update:
- Vanessa Drozda and Logan Goodrid were engaged and planning their future while navigating long distance.
- Libby Vodicka and Andrew Wheeler were continuing their long-distance relationship and working toward living closer together.
The four other main pairings—Theresa and John, Pfeiffer and Derrick, Leah and Chris, and Vanelle and Jorge—had split. The reported reasons varied. The hosts have an age-gap relationship too
Hosts Nick Viall and Natalie Joy are a real-life couple with an 18-year age difference. Their relationship gives the show an explicit comparison point: the hosts are not merely presenting a dating experiment about age gaps; their own partnership is part of the program’s broader conversation about age and compatibility.
Us Weekly’s framing placed the cast’s disclosed dating pool roughly between ages 22 and 59, although Jorge’s reported age was 60. The featured couples therefore span a wide range of adult life stages, from contestants in their early twenties to a contestant in his sixties.

Netflix announced on March 31, 2026, that Age of Attraction had been renewed for Season 2, with Nick Viall and Natalie Joy returning as hosts. Netflix said the first season had appeared in its English-language Top 10 and reached the Top 10 in 26 countries.
No Season 2 release date or complete cast has been confirmed in the available reporting. Those details should not be treated as announced until Netflix publishes them.

The figures make for an attention-grabbing headline, but the relationship outcomes resist a single formula. The 33-year-gap couple did not remain together, while a 20-year-gap couple—Vanessa and Logan—was reported as engaged. The smallest-gap principal pairing, Leah and Chris at 15 years, also split.
That does not prove that age has no effect. It means the meaningful question is how an age difference interacts with life stage, family plans, geography, values, communication and practical commitments. Age of Attraction makes age invisible at the beginning, then turns it into a concrete piece of information that each couple must interpret for themselves.
