The reported teaser released ahead of Agatha All Along’s third episode shows Joe Locke’s character, Teen, using blue energy. That image prompted a theory that Teen could be Billy Kaplan, the Marvel character known as Wiccan—but neither the teaser coverage nor Disney’s official series materials confirm that identity. Treat it as a possible clue, not a reveal.
What the episode-three teaser shows
ComicBookMovie reported on September 23, 2024, that a Roku teaser ahead of the third episode showed Teen using blue energy. The report interpreted the image as a possible Billy Kaplan/Wiccan clue, while cautioning that it could be a misdirect: ComicBookMovie’s coverage of the Roku teaser.
The distinction matters: this was coverage of a trailer released ahead of the episode, not evidence that the footage appeared in the episode itself. The available official materials do not confirm an official title for the teaser or identify Teen as Billy Kaplan.
Why viewers connect Teen to Wiccan
Blue energy is the visual detail that led the outlet and viewers to consider Wiccan. That makes Billy Kaplan a plausible theory about the mysterious character, but the color of an effect alone does not establish who is using it. The teaser’s meaning remains open unless the series or its creators confirm it.

Disney’s official descriptions introduce Locke’s character as Teen, a mysterious goth who helps Agatha Harkness break free of a distorted spell. Teen asks Agatha to take him on the Witches’ Road, where she gathers a coven to face magical trials. The road promises a witch what they are missing if they survive. Disney’s materials describe the premise and cast without naming Teen’s secret identity: Disney+’s July 2024 announcement, its August 2024 D23 announcement, and the official series media kit.
How the name-spell clue fits—and what it does not prove
In separate trailer coverage published August 29, 2024, ComicBook.com reported that Teen appeared unable to say his name, with a spell obscuring his lips. The report raised the possibility that a visible initial might be “M,” but framed that reading as speculation rather than a confirmed name: ComicBook.com’s coverage of the name clue.

That earlier detail adds to the mystery but does not settle it. Neither an obscured name nor the blue-energy shot, as described in these reports, confirms that Teen is Billy Kaplan.
Why the show’s mystery format leaves room for theories
Showrunner and executive producer Jac Schaeffer described Agatha All Along as “a puzzle-box show” with “lots of mysteries, lots of reveals, lots of unexpected moments.” That description helps explain why promotional footage invites interpretation, but it is not confirmation of a particular theory. Disney’s behind-the-scenes feature also discusses the series’ witch-focused approach with Schaeffer and Kathryn Hahn: The Walt Disney Company’s feature on the making of the series.

Disney announced that the first two episodes premiered on Disney+ on September 18, 2024. That is the original premiere information, not a guarantee of current availability in every territory.
