The title most likely refers to the AEW World Tag Team Championship defense on the May 20, 2026 AEW Dynamite special, in which FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) were scheduled to defend against Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong of The Conglomeration. This article cannot give you the winner, the finish, the match length, or whether the titles changed hands. No authoritative results account for that match was available to confirm those points, and the sources that were available do not establish them. Below is what is confirmed, what is not, and how to verify the outcome.
What is established about the card
- The announced match was an AEW World Tag Team Championship defense: FTR against Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong, representing The Conglomeration.
- The event was listed as taking place at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine.
- A community discussion thread from May 20, 2026 named TBS and HBO Max as US viewing options for the broadcast. That is a listing from the event date, not a current guide to where the show is available or on what terms.
The community thread is useful for identifying the card, but it is not an official results record, so treat its details as a starting point rather than a verified account.
What remains unconfirmed
| Element | Status in available sources |
|---|---|
| Announced match | FTR vs. Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong (community discussion, May 20, 2026) |
| Venue | Cross Insurance Arena, Portland, Maine (same discussion) |
| Winner | Not stated |
| Title outcome | Not stated; whether FTR retained the AEW World Tag Team Championship is not established |
| Finish (pinfall, submission, disqualification, count-out) | Not stated |
| Match duration | Not stated |
| Sequence of the match | Not stated |
Why the video fragment does not settle the result
A video search result from the same date includes brief transcript fragments. One refers to a missed tag and later in-ring action. A single missed tag says nothing about who won or how the match ended, and the excerpt does not show a continuous sequence. Using it to reconstruct the match would mean guessing at the outcome, which this article does not do.
How to verify the result
- Open AEW’s official website and find the results or event page for the May 20, 2026 Dynamite. Locate the match listed under the AEW World Tag Team Championship and note the official result as published.
- Check the title’s reign history. Look at which team is listed as champion after May 20, 2026. If FTR is still listed, the titles were retained; if another team is listed, the titles changed hands.
- If a replay is available on the platform that carried the show, watch the match itself. Note the time stamp at the start and finish to confirm the duration, and confirm the final sequence on screen.
- Reconcile the official result with the replay. If the official listing and the replay disagree on how the match ended, rely on the official listing and note the discrepancy.
What a full breakdown needs once the result is confirmed
- The exact finish and its type, because a disqualification or count-out produces a different title outcome from a pinfall or submission.
- The tag sequence or near-fall that decided the match, with the time stamp from the replay.
- The title consequence: whether the belts changed hands, and who the champion is going forward.
- The match length as recorded in the official replay, not as estimated from a clip.
Until an official result is checked, the most reliable information available is the announced card, the venue, and the date. Those facts are established; the outcome is not.
