The five-match special mixed two championship defenses and a weapons-heavy brawl with a tag-team showcase, then closed on Toni Storm’s return to the top of the women’s division. Storm defeated Mariah May to regain the AEW Women’s World Championship; the other titleholders, Mercedes Moné and Kazuchika Okada, retained.
This is a spoiler-forward review of the complete card and its finishes. AEW listed the broadcast on TNT and streaming on MAX. AEW’s results report supplies the finishes and official milestone claims; critical observations below are attributed to contemporaneous PWTorch reporter Wade Keller.

Omega and Ospreay open with speed and a story hook
Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay vs. Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher
Omega and Ospreay teamed for the first time against Takeshita and Fletcher of the Don Callis Family. The finish brought the partners’ offense together: Ospreay hit a Hidden Blade while Omega held Takeshita in position, then Omega landed the One-Winged Angel and scored the pin.

The tag match set a fast, athletic tone and gave the crowd a reason to invest in the developing rivalries. Keller praised the crowd response, the smooth chemistry between Omega and Ospreay, and Fletcher’s performance. His reservations were about execution: he described some ambitious sequences as clunky and criticized the loose enforcement of tag rules. That mix makes this a lively opener rather than an unblemished one.
The result immediately pointed toward future matches. Omega challenged Takeshita for Revolution, while Ospreay called for a steel cage match with Fletcher.
Moné keeps the TBS Championship against Cameron
Mercedes Moné vs. Harley Cameron — TBS Championship
Moné retained by pinfall after the Mone Maker. Cameron’s puppet routine added a crowd-friendly character beat, and her Australian Destroyer helped make the challenger’s near fall feel consequential, but she did not take the championship.
AEW’s preview described this as Cameron’s first challenge for an AEW championship and said Toni Storm’s words helped set the match in motion. Keller called the bout solid and noted that the puppet spots were popular. He questioned whether the build had made Cameron a convincing main-event-level challenger, a fair distinction between an entertaining performance and a fully persuasive title program.

During the broadcast, commentator Tony Schiavone said, “Mercedes is 14-0 since arriving in AEW,” as quoted in AEW’s results report. That is the commentary’s framing at the time of this event, not a claim about her record beyond that point.
The Brisbane Brawl ends in a decisive stoppage
The Death Riders (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli) vs. Cope and Jay White
The Brisbane Brawl abandoned ordinary tag-match restraint for weapons and table spots. AEW’s recap describes the action escalating through the venue before Moxley applied a bulldog choke to Cope. With Cope unconscious, the referee stopped the match and awarded the win to Moxley and Castagnoli.
Keller reported an emotional response to Cope’s entrance and described the brawl’s movement through the building. The finish gave the match a clear endpoint: the referee stoppage was the consequence of the choke, not a pinfall or submission.

Kazuchika Okada vs. Buddy Matthews — Continental Championship
Matthews survived an early stalemate and built a credible challenge with significant offense, including a Rainmaker that he kicked out of. Okada ultimately retained through a rule-breaking opening: with the referee distracted, he hit Matthews with a low blow, then delivered the Rainmaker for the pin.

The contrast is the match’s defining point. Matthews showed he could trouble the champion, but Okada’s victory came through opportunism rather than a clean finishing sequence. The result preserved the title while giving the challenger a substantial showing.
Storm regains the Women’s World Championship
Mariah May vs. Toni Storm — Women’s World Championship
The main event paid off the rivalry AEW had framed around May’s betrayal of Storm and their rematch. May had taken the championship from Storm at All In: London 2024; in Brisbane, the two traded signature moves and near falls before Storm caught May in a cradle and scored the pin.
Storm regained the title, and AEW’s February 16 results report called her the first four-time AEW Women’s World Champion. The finish was compact after a sustained exchange, making the title change itself the emotional payoff rather than an elaborate final maneuver.
How the five-match card holds together
The show’s strongest connective tissue is the way its matches serve different purposes. The opening tag combined athletic spectacle with two clear next steps; Moné–Cameron offered a character-driven title defense; the Brisbane Brawl shifted the card into chaotic, stoppage-finish violence; and Okada–Matthews turned a championship match into a test of the challenger’s credibility. The main event supplied the biggest stakes and clearest payoff with Storm’s title return.

The construction is uneven by design and execution: Keller’s criticism of the opener’s clunky sequences and loose tag rules sits alongside his praise of its crowd response, while his positive assessment of Moné–Cameron comes with a question about the challenger’s buildup. Those qualifications keep the review from treating every match as equally successful. Taken together, the card delivers variety and forward motion, with Storm and May’s rivalry providing its central story.
