Actor Nick Pasqual was sentenced to 32 years to life in prison after a jury convicted him of attempted murder and other offenses in the case involving makeup artist Allie Shehorn. The case began with charges announced in May 2024, after prosecutors alleged Pasqual attacked Shehorn at her Los Angeles home.
What happened to Allie Shehorn?
The Los Angeles Times reported that Shehorn, a makeup artist and producer, was stabbed at her home in Shadow Hills shortly before 4:30 a.m. on May 23, 2024. According to the newspaper’s account of prosecutors’ allegations, her former boyfriend, Pasqual, broke into the home and attacked her with a knife before leaving California. He was stopped at a border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas.
Shehorn underwent emergency surgery and spent several days in intensive care, the Times reported. Her professional credits include Rebel Moon, Family Switch and Babylon; she and Pasqual first met while working on Rebel Moon.
What charges were announced in 2024?
In May 2024, prosecutors announced charges against Pasqual of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse or partner, according to the Los Angeles Times. Those were the initial charges, not the final outcome of the case.

What was the verdict and sentence?
CBS Los Angeles reported that on June 2, 2026, a jury found Pasqual guilty of attempted murder, forcible rape, first-degree burglary, and injuring a spouse or partner. The jury also found special allegations of great bodily injury under domestic-violence circumstances. Pasqual was sentenced to 32 years to life in prison.
At sentencing, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said the sentence held Pasqual accountable for crimes against someone who once loved and trusted him, CBS reported. That was the prosecutor’s statement about the sentence.

What was reported about the restraining order?
The Los Angeles Times reported that Shehorn sought a restraining order days before the attack and that a judge granted it. The newspaper said it was unclear whether she had been able to serve Pasqual before the attack. The Times also described earlier claims of physical and sexual abuse made in the restraining-order filing; those were allegations in the filing, not findings established by the reporting cited here.
