Ice Cube was reported to have bought Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Marina del Rey home in 2016 for $7.25 million. A published photo gallery and contemporaneous reporting reveal a three-story house organized around canal-facing terraces, with a rooftop pool and dedicated spaces for entertaining. The descriptions and figures below come from 2016 coverage; they do not establish who owns the property or what it looks like today.
What the 2016 reports said about the house
The Los Angeles Times reported that the custom contemporary home was built in 2011 and measured 7,574 square feet. Its 2016 account described six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and six fireplaces. Ice Cube, whose given name is O’Shea Jackson, was reported to have purchased it from actor Jean-Claude Van Damme for $7.25 million.

Those are figures from the 2016 report, not a current listing or a confirmation of present ownership. The Times also said it was not known then whether the home would be Ice Cube’s primary residence.
Inside: rooms for everyday use and entertaining
The Times described a modern kitchen, formal living and dining rooms, and a wet bar, along with a home theater, gym, and wine cellar. Architectural Digest’s photo gallery gives the rooms a visual counterpart: its image labels identify the dining room, living room, kitchen breakfast bar, an office with built-ins, theater, family room and bar area, and wine cellar.

The gallery documents the photographs published with that feature. It does not establish whether the furniture, finishes, or arrangements remain the same. The Times further reported that the wine cellar combined poured concrete and glass; it did not identify a designer or renovation history.
Glass staircase, elevator, and six fireplaces
A glass-enclosed staircase and an elevator connected the home’s three stories, according to the Times. The reported six fireplaces included one in the primary suite. Together, those details suggest how the house’s vertical layout linked its private rooms with the larger entertaining spaces, without establishing how the rooms are used now.

Terraces overlooking the canal, then a rooftop pool
Doors on each level opened onto terrace patios overlooking the canal, the Times reported. Above them, a rooftop deck had a swimming pool and views of the city and ocean. The layout moves from indoor gathering spaces to canal-facing outdoor terraces and then to a roof deck oriented toward broader city and ocean views. Architectural Digest’s gallery also labels a terrace image.
