Martha Stewart’s best-known homes span a Connecticut farmhouse, a Maine summer estate, a Westchester horse farm, a former East Hampton cottage, and Manhattan residences. The five homes in Martha Stewart Living’s June 2026 overview are a selected tour, not a complete register of every place she has owned or lived.
What homes has Martha Stewart owned?
The homes featured in the current overview reflect different chapters of Stewart’s life: Turkey Hill was her first home, Skylands is her summer retreat, Cantitoe Corners is her Bedford-area estate, and Lily Pond was a longtime East Hampton getaway. The overview also includes her former Perry Street condominiums and mentions a Fifth Avenue apartment.
| Home | Location | Role or status in the coverage |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey Hill | Westport, Connecticut | First home; Stewart lived there from 1971 to 2007 |
| Skylands | Seal Harbor, Maine | Summer retreat |
| Cantitoe Corners, also called Bedford Farm | Katonah, New York | Current estate in the 2026 coverage |
| Lily Pond | East Hampton, New York | Former cottage, sold in 2021 |
| Perry Street condominiums | West Village, Manhattan | Former residence in a Richard Meier-designed building; her daughter Alexis still lives there, according to the overview |
| Fifth Avenue apartment | Manhattan | One-bedroom apartment mentioned in the overview; dates and current ownership are not stated |
These entries are not an exhaustive lifetime inventory. A 2001 Vanity Fair profile described seven properties at that point, including two East Hampton houses, two New York City apartments, Turkey Hill, Skylands, and Bedford holdings. That is a dated snapshot, not evidence of present ownership.
Turkey Hill: the Connecticut farmhouse where her home life and work took shape
Stewart says she bought Turkey Hill in Westport in 1971 for $46,750 and lived there until 2007. The official retrospective describes two major renovations, antiques, a greenhouse, and vegetable and all-season gardens. It also says she wrote several cookbooks there. The dining room appears in editions of her book Entertaining, making the book a direct point of connection to the house and the domestic style associated with it.

The property’s acreage is described differently in two official accounts. Stewart’s retrospective calls it a four-acre property; a garden feature describes the landscape growing from two acres to six. These figures refer to different descriptions of its development, so neither should be treated as a definitive final acreage.
Reflecting on the home when she sold it, Stewart wrote, “Turkey Hill was a dream place for my family and me for many years.”

Skylands: a summer retreat on the Maine coast
Skylands, in Seal Harbor, Maine, was built in 1925 for auto executive Edsel Ford. Stewart bought the estate in 1997. Martha Stewart Living describes the house as having 12 bedrooms, and its garden coverage says she spends several weeks there each summer with family and friends.
Cantitoe Corners: Stewart’s Katonah horse farm
Cantitoe Corners, also known as Bedford Farm, is in Katonah, New York. The official overview says Stewart bought its 1925 farmhouse in 2000 and describes a 152-acre horse farm with historic and modern buildings, gardens, and animals.

A separate garden feature updated September 19, 2026, describes the Bedford estate as 153 acres and notes its plantings, paddocks, greenhouses, and pool. The 152- and 153-acre figures come from different official features; the coverage does not explain the difference, so they should be kept distinct rather than combined.
Lily Pond: the East Hampton cottage she sold in 2021
Lily Pond was an 1870s shingled cottage on Lily Pond Lane in East Hampton. Stewart bought it around 1990, renovated it while preserving much of its old-house character, and sold it in 2021. The garden coverage describes roses and a leafy side garden; before selling, she transplanted roses to Bedford.
In a June 2026 feature, Stewart recalled that the cottage was “the oldest house on the block and a total wreck.” She also described her decision to buy it simply: “I decided I had to have it.” She rented a nearby cottage before buying Lily Pond, used the house for gatherings, and eventually spent more summers at Skylands.

The overview describes Stewart’s Perry Street condominiums in the West Village as glassy residences designed by architect Richard Meier. Although Stewart left her unit, her daughter Alexis still lives in the building, according to that account. The overview also mentions a one-bedroom apartment in a limestone building facing Central Park on Fifth Avenue but gives no dates. It does not establish whether Stewart still owns that apartment.

Why “all” needs a qualification
The phrase “all of Martha Stewart’s homes” is useful as a tour title, but it overstates what any selected retrospective can establish. The five numbered entries in the June 2026 Martha Stewart Living overview, plus its Fifth Avenue mention, are a curated selection. The 2001 Vanity Fair profile documents a broader portfolio at that earlier moment, including a house on Georgica Pond. That historical account does not show that Stewart owns or occupies those additional homes today.
