The Bulova Frank Sinatra watch collection pairs vintage-inspired designs with references to Sinatra’s songs and image, but it is not one uniform watch. Its first five models were announced in Japan in 2020; Bulova’s U.S. collection page now shows a wider, region-specific assortment. To compare watches, check the exact reference number: movement, case, crystal, strap and water-resistance details vary.
What makes a Bulova Frank Sinatra watch recognizable?
Bulova describes the collection as drawing on vintage Bulova designs and Frank Sinatra’s identity and music. Depending on the model, visual references include a Sinatra signature, fedora, song title or distinctive dial and presentation box; those details are not shared by every reference. Bulova’s U.S. collection page shows the current displayed range, while its Japan launch announcement documents the original release.
Bulova Japan says the relationship drew on Bulova’s sponsorship of Sinatra’s television program in the 1950s. Its September 23, 2020 announcement framed the first collection around Sinatra in the 1950s and 1960s. The announcement also attributes a comment about punctuality to Tina Sinatra, Frank Sinatra’s daughter and co-chair of Frank Sinatra Enterprises: “My father respected time more than anyone. He didn’t like to keep an audience waiting. He used to say, ‘Hurry up, you’re going to be late.’” This is the published English rendering in Bulova Japan’s announcement.
How the 2020 launch differs from the current U.S. assortment
Bulova Japan announced five models scheduled for October 2020: three in The Best Is Yet To Come family and two Young At Heart models. That is the original Japan launch lineup, not a claim about what is currently stocked worldwide.

Its listed assortment included Nothing But The Best, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, My Way, Young at Heart, Rat Pack, The Very Thought Of You and Chairman of the Board entries. This is a live U.S. page count, not a permanent collection size or proof that each watch is available in other markets. Stock, sale prices and displayed products can change.
The launch announcement describes The Best Is Yet To Come as round, 40 mm dress watches with grid-like dial decoration, dauphine-style hands, and Sinatra signature and fedora details. Young At Heart was described with tonneau cases and Arabic numerals. Those descriptions refer to the launch models; do not assume every later watch under a related collection name has the same design or specifications. Bulova Japan says “The Best Is Yet To Come” was among Sinatra’s favorite songs and appeared on his gravestone; that biographical detail is Bulova’s account.

How to compare specific Bulova Frank Sinatra watches
The examples below show why the reference number matters. Bulova’s model pages and instruction sheet are primary sources for the listed specifications, not independent performance assessments.

Movement: quartz, automatic or manual wind
My Way 97A158 is quartz. Nothing But The Best 96B483 and Fly Me To The Moon 97B196 are automatic. The cited 96B346 instruction sheet specifies manual winding. These examples are not a collection-wide movement map: verify the movement for the precise reference you are considering. The SW215 specification applies to 96B346, not every watch named The Best Is Yet To Come.
Case shape, size and strap
The examples range from the rectangular 29.5 mm My Way to round 37 mm and 39 mm watches. A smaller case can create a different wearing profile from a larger round case, while strap width affects replacement choices: the cited My Way and Nothing But The Best references both have 20 mm lug widths. Do not assume that width applies to another model. Check the reference’s exact case and strap details before buying a replacement.

Dial, crystal and water-resistance wording
Compare dial treatment and crystal construction as well as appearance: the examples include a linen-white dial, a curved sapphire crystal, a double-curved sapphire box crystal and domed sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating. Water-resistance numbers and Bulova’s wording differ by reference. A 30 m rating—or a “splash resistant” label—is not a recommendation for swimming or diving.
What to verify before buying
- Match the reference number. Collection names recur across variants and markets; confirm the number on the watch listing and compare it with Bulova’s product information or instruction sheet.
- Check local availability. The five-model announcement concerns Japan in 2020, while the 11-product count was displayed on Bulova’s U.S. page on October 4, 2026. Neither establishes availability in every country or continued stock.
- Distinguish current listings from older or secondary-market examples. The Fly Me To The Moon 97B196 product page may be stale, so verify availability with the seller rather than treating a page as proof of stock.
- Read water-resistance wording literally. Do not infer suitability for swimming from a limited rating.
- Confirm the seller and condition. Official Bulova pages establish model details, but do not verify a marketplace seller’s authenticity, inventory or price.
What the collection’s official sources do—and do not—establish
Bulova Japan reported that Sinatra received 10 Grammy Awards, which supplies biographical context rather than a measure of the watches. The official sources cited here do not establish collection sales, production volume, market share or independent comparative accuracy. Bulova’s descriptions and specifications are useful for identifying its own products; they are not independent evaluations of wear, timekeeping or durability.
