Some also remember Abby and Sean as a couple that drew them into 90 Day Fiancé. Those comments are individual reactions, not a survey or a verdict shared by all fans.
What happened in the scene that viewers remember?
A TLC clip published August 31, 2017, captures a moment that became a point of discussion: in an interview for the show, Abby refers to Chris, whom the clip describes as her supposedly former boyfriend, rather than Sean, her then-current boyfriend and possible future fiancé. That is how the episode-era material frames the relationships; it does not establish anyone’s relationship status today. Watch the clip on the official 90 Day Fiancé channel.
The slip gave later viewers a memorable detail to revisit. In a discussion of the Abby, Chris and Sean scene, commenters focus on the awkwardness of the interaction and the men’s behavior. The comments reveal different readings of the scene, rather than a settled account of what happened beyond what the clip shows.
What do commenters say about Abby and Sean?
The discussions point to three broad reaction themes. They should be read as examples of individual online responses, not as quantified portions of the audience.

Discomfort with the scene and criticism of the men
Some commenters describe the interaction as uncomfortable and criticize the men’s conduct. Their reaction is to the dynamics shown in the scene, including the tension surrounding Abby’s reference to Chris.
Sympathy for Abby
Other commenters push back on harsh judgments of Abby, suggesting she was treated too critically. That view complicates any simple claim that viewers blamed her for the awkward moment.

Nostalgia for a memorable couple
A separate discussion asks, “Does anyone remember this couple?” and recalls Abby and Sean as a pairing that helped hook one viewer on the series. The phrasing shows how some people remember the storyline; it does not establish that this was a common audience response. Read the discussion about which couple got viewers hooked.
Is there a fan consensus about their relationship?
No representative fan consensus is established by these discussions. The comments show a mix of discomfort, criticism, sympathy for Abby and nostalgia for the couple as reality-TV drama. They are not a poll, and the number of comments in a thread cannot be treated as evidence of what the wider audience thinks.
