Cupertino — October 8
This legal drama takes on a David-versus-Goliath fight in Silicon Valley. Mike Colter plays a wronged lawyer who teams with a young attorney, played by Rachel Keller, to challenge powerful technology-industry interests. It is a pick for viewers drawn to courtroom conflict with a tech-sector setting. See CBS’s show description and premiere schedule.
Eternally Yours — October 8
A vampire couple married for 500 years faces a distinctly modern family adjustment: their daughter has a human boyfriend. The supernatural premise makes this CBS comedy the lightest counterpoint to the fall’s police, legal and thriller dramas. CBS lists it alongside its other fall premieres.
New NBC shows: one already airing, one still ahead
Line of Fire — September 21
This law-enforcement family drama follows agents working cases connected to the FBI, U.S. Marshals, Secret Service and Justice Department. NBC says a case that initially seems straightforward develops into a deadly conspiracy. Its premiere date has passed as of October 7, 2026. NBC’s fall announcement provides the schedule and series description.
Newlyweds — October 23
Téa Leoni and Tim Daly lead this NBC comedy, scheduled after Happy’s Place on Friday. NBC’s announcement confirms the cast and premiere date but does not provide a fuller premise, so there is not enough detail to describe its story more specifically. Check the NBC schedule announcement for the announced timing.

Peacock’s fall 2026 originals
Crystal Lake — October 15
This Friday the 13th prequel is the clearest choice in the list for horror and franchise fans. Linda Cardellini is among its listed cast. Peacock’s fall schedule lists the premiere date and series details.
The Good Daughter — November 12
Meghann Fahy and Rose Byrne play sisters Charlotte and Samantha Quinn in a thriller tied to a new attack in Pikeville, their shared past and family secrets. The premise points toward family history as much as the immediate mystery. Peacock outlines the show in its fall originals announcement.
Rank #3
DIG — November 23
Amy Poehler and Hugh Laurie lead this archaeology adventure comedy. At a Greek dig site, archaeologists and students uncover a rare artifact, setting up a mix of exploration and comedy. Peacock’s schedule listing gives the date and official premise.
How to watch the broadcast shows
The CBS premiere week began October 4, 2026. CBS says Paramount+ Essential provides next-day on-demand episodes, while Paramount+ Premium streams a local CBS station live. Those options and the relevant local-station availability can vary, so check current plan terms and availability where you live. The service details appear in CBS’s schedule guide. NBC identifies Line of Fire and Newlyweds as NBC premieres in its fall announcement; the Peacock originals are listed on Peacock’s schedule page.

Why these eight made the watchlist
The selection mixes procedural and legal dramas, comedies, horror, thriller and adventure across broadcast and streaming. The official announcements establish their dates, premises, casts and homes; they do not provide comparable show-by-show audience ratings or critic scores. “Must-watch” here is an editorial invitation to explore the season, not a data-backed claim that these titles outperform other new shows.
