The cast of 7th Heaven went in different directions after the family drama ended in 2007: some continued acting, some added producing or voice work, and three former stars reunited for a podcast. The available career snapshots are dated rather than a live update on every cast member, so the details below distinguish documented credits from more recent reports.
What was 7th Heaven about, and when did it end?
7th Heaven premiered on The WB on August 26, 1996, and ran for 11 seasons before concluding in 2007, according to TV Insider’s 2021 cast roundup. The family drama centered on minister Eric Camden, his wife Annie, and their children. The principal Camden children were Matt, Mary, Simon, Lucy, and Ruthie.

Where are the central Camden cast members now?
The credits below are selected career waypoints, not complete filmographies or confirmation of current employment. TV Insider’s cast roundup was published in 2021; the newer reunion information is reported separately.
Catherine Hicks as Annie Camden
Hicks played the Camden family’s mother. TV Insider’s 2021 roundup cited several television-movie roles and an expected return as Karen Barclay in Chucky. Those details describe work around that period, not her current projects.

Barry Watson as Matt Camden
Watson’s post-series credits included What About Brian, Samantha Who?, Date My Dad, The Loudest Voice, and Into the Dark, as listed in TV Insider’s 2021 roundup. They are selected examples rather than a complete or up-to-date account.
David Gallagher as Simon Camden
After playing Simon, Gallagher appeared in guest roles and did voice work for the Kingdom Hearts game series, according to the 2021 roundup. A May 2026 entertainment report also names him as a co-host of Catching Up with the Camdens.

Jessica Biel as Mary Camden
Biel continued acting in films and projects including The Sinner and Limetown, and took on executive-producing work on Cruel Summer, according to TV Insider. She was also reported as an executive producer on a proposed 7th Heaven reboot announced in 2025; that report does not establish that the project was ordered or produced.
Beverley Mitchell as Lucy Camden
Mitchell’s later television work included The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Hollywood Darlings, and a Lifetime holiday movie, per the 2021 roundup. The May 2026 report identifies her as a co-host of Catching Up with the Camdens.
Mackenzie Rosman as Ruthie Camden
Rosman played the youngest Camden daughter. The May 2026 report names her alongside Mitchell and Gallagher as a co-host of Catching Up with the Camdens. The available coverage does not establish a broader current work profile for Rosman.

The ensemble also included recurring performers such as Geoff Stults, Tyler Hoechlin, Chaz Lamar Shepherd, Ashlee Simpson, and Rachel Blanchard. TV Insider’s 2021 roundup notes the wider cast, but the available information does not support a thorough current update on each of them.
TV Insider said it excluded Stephen Collins, who played Eric Camden, because of his 2014 admission of sexual abuse of minors. That is the relevant context for his absence from the roundup; it should not be treated as a casual career update.
Is there a 7th Heaven reunion podcast?
A May 2026 entertainment roundup reports that Mitchell, Gallagher, and Rosman launched Catching Up with the Camdens in 2024. That establishes a reported reunion project, but not its current publishing schedule or availability. Check a podcast service for the latest episodes rather than assuming it is still releasing new installments.

Is a 7th Heaven reboot coming?
A 2025 report said a reboot was in development at CBS Studios, with Biel among its executive producers. “In development” is not the same as a series order, production, or release, and the available reporting does not establish a later status. Treat it as a reported project, not a confirmed return to television.
