Vince Gilligan’s Pluribus was November’s biggest new Apple TV drama, pairing a high-concept science-fiction premise with a lead performance from Rhea Seehorn. Apple’s central setup describes a world-saving mission undertaken by “the most miserable person on Earth”—an intriguing contrast between one person’s profound unhappiness and a world that appears to be moving toward collective happiness.
The series was a natural first pick for viewers looking for a substantial new scripted show rather than another returning season. Gilligan is best known for creating Breaking Bad and co-creating Better Call Saul, but Pluribus should not be presented as a sequel, spin-off, or continuation of either story. The defensible connection is Gilligan’s authorship, not shared story continuity.
The two-episode launch gave viewers enough material to assess the premise, while the weekly schedule kept the mystery unfolding across the rest of November and into December. It was the best choice on this list for viewers who prefer an original science-fiction concept with unanswered questions and a serious dramatic tone.
2. Palm Royale season 2
Premiere: November 12, 2025
Format: Returning comedy
Release pattern: The 10-episode season began with one episode and continued weekly through January 14, 2026.
If champagne-soaked social satire sounded more appealing than apocalyptic mystery, Palm Royale season 2 returned with more of Maxine’s battle for a place among Palm Beach’s elite. Kristen Wiig played Maxine Dellacorte, an outsider trying to establish herself in a wealthy social world that is far less welcoming than its polished surface suggests.
The second season dealt with the consequences of Maxine’s public breakdown while she attempted to prove that she belonged in Palm Beach high society. That made this a returning-series recommendation rather than a new-show discovery: viewers unfamiliar with the first season would likely get more from beginning there, particularly because the new episodes build on Maxine’s earlier fallout.
Rank #2
Its weekly release made Palm Royale a useful November pick for viewers who wanted a continuing comedy instead of a film or a season designed for one weekend. The appeal was the combination of heightened period style, an ensemble cast, character-driven conflict, and Maxine’s ongoing attempt to turn social ambition into acceptance.
3. Come See Me in the Good Light
Premiere: November 14, 2025, on Apple TV after select theatrical screenings
Format: Documentary film

The film’s subject matter includes illness and mortality, so it is a substantially more emotionally demanding recommendation than the month’s scripted comedies or family entertainment.
It is also more than a documentary about a diagnosis. Apple’s description emphasizes humor, love, partnership, creative purpose, and resilience alongside the seriousness of Gibson and Falley’s circumstances. That balance is central to the film’s identity: the relationship and the couple’s way of facing an impossible situation matter as much as the medical reality itself.
This was the strongest choice in the November lineup for viewers seeking serious nonfiction with a personal perspective. It should be recommended with an honest content note rather than reduced to a generic “inspirational” story. The film makes room for wit and joy, but its themes of incurable illness and mortality remain fundamental.
4. The Family Plan 2
Premiere: November 21, 2025
Format: Family action-comedy film
Rating: PG-13
Rank #3
The Family Plan 2 was the easy late-November pick for a group movie night: an overseas vacation, a resurfaced threat, and enough car chases and holiday mayhem to keep the premise moving. Dan plans an international trip with his wife, Jessica, and their children, but the family holiday changes course when someone connected to Dan’s past reappears.
Apple’s synopsis points to bank heists, family arguments, bonding, European car chases, and an international cat-and-mouse story. The mixture gives the sequel a straightforward late-fall appeal, especially for households looking for accessible action without committing to a long series.
Because it is rated PG-13, it should not be described as children’s programming without qualification. It is better understood as a family action comedy aimed at a broad group audience, with the returning family dynamic connecting it to the first Family Plan film.
5. Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age
Premiere: November 26, 2025
Format: Five-part natural-history documentary event
Narrator: Tom Hiddleston
Recommended Free Tools
Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age traded dinosaurs for woolly mammoths, saber-toothed predators, dwarf elephants, and other Pleistocene megafauna. Produced with the BBC Studios Natural History Unit and narrated by Tom Hiddleston, the five-part series shifted the franchise’s focus to the Ice Age period.
That distinction matters: this was not another dinosaur series and not a fictional prehistoric adventure. Its subject was a later period shaped by ice, changing habitats, extreme climates, and eventual melting. The series used current scientific knowledge as the basis for its natural-history storytelling, while presenting the animals and environments as a large-scale documentary event.
Rank #4
It was the clearest November recommendation for viewers who wanted spectacle with a factual or educational angle. Families could watch it together, but it also suited adults interested in prehistoric life, climate, evolution, and the visual craft of modern natural-history filmmaking.
6. WondLa season 3
Premiere: November 26, 2025
Format: Final animated season
The third season of WondLa brought the animated trilogy to its conclusion. In the final chapter, war erupted between humans and aliens. Eva had to recover the stolen Heart of the Forest while bringing together former friends and unlikely allies, with the larger conflict focused on bridging divided worlds and challenging the idea of “them” versus “us.”
That made season 3 the clearest family-animation event in the November lineup, but viewers should know that it was a conclusion rather than a new entry point. Families discovering the adaptation would have been better served by watching the earlier seasons first.
WondLa was based on Tony DiTerlizzi’s books: The Search for WondLa, A Hero for WondLa, and The Battle for WondLa. The books were useful companion reading for families who wanted to explore the source material, but the television adaptation should not be assumed to follow the novels scene for scene without separate verification.

What made this a useful six-title watchlist?
The lineup covered more than one kind of Apple TV release. Pluribus supplied the major new drama; Palm Royale represented returning comedy; Come See Me in the Good Light provided an emotionally serious documentary; The Family Plan 2 offered accessible holiday-season entertainment; Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age delivered natural-history spectacle; and WondLa closed out a family animation trilogy.
The dates also created two different viewing rhythms. Pluribus and Palm Royale were weekly commitments that continued beyond their November premieres. The three episodic event choices—Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age and the final season of WondLa—premiered on November 26, while the two films offered simpler options for viewers who preferred a single sitting.
One practical note: Apple’s current product and service pages generally use “Apple TV,” while the requested title uses “Apple TV+.” The six picks above refer to the Apple TV streaming lineup and its 2025 release schedule; availability can vary by region and may change after the original premiere window.
