Disney+ Error Code 92 means Disney has temporarily throttled traffic from your IP address. Disney says repeated failed sign-ins, repeated payment-method attempts, and an unstable or slow connection can contribute. Stop submitting forms repeatedly, then work through the five steps below. Disney does not publish a guaranteed number of minutes or hours for the throttle, so its instruction is simply to try again later.
These steps follow Disney’s current Error 91/92 guidance. General measures such as clearing cache or reinstalling the app are fallback troubleshooting, not confirmed primary fixes for this specific code.

What Disney Plus Error Code 92 means
Disney’s Help Center describes Error Code 92 as temporary throttling of traffic from an IP address and displays a message telling you to try again later. The same page lists repeated failed login attempts, repeated failed payment updates, and unstable or slow internet as possible contributors. See Disney’s Error 91/92 guidance.
This is not, by itself, proof that your account is permanently blocked, that Disney+ is experiencing a global outage, or that a VPN, cache, or particular device is the cause.

The five quickest fixes
- Stop repeated login or payment attempts and try again later.
- Test and stabilize your internet connection.
- Power down the device and relaunch Disney+.
- Verify your payment method and subscription details.
- Contact Disney+ Support if the error persists.
1. Stop retrying and try again later
Official status: Disney specifically says repeated failed login and payment attempts can contribute to Error 92.
- Stop guessing passwords or resubmitting the payment form.
- Close Disney+ completely.
- Wait before making another attempt; Disney gives no fixed recovery period.
- Retry once, rather than sending many consecutive requests.
If you cannot authenticate, use Disney’s normal account-recovery process instead of repeatedly testing passwords. If the throttle remains, continue to the connection and restart steps.
2. Test the internet connection
Official status: Disney recommends an internet connection test and identifies unstable or slow connectivity as a possible contributor. No numeric speed threshold is stated on the Error 92 page.

- Brand New in box. The product ships with all relevant accessories
- Open another website or streaming service on the same device.
- If the connection is unstable, restart the modem or router as a general connectivity measure.
- If available, make one controlled test on another reliable network.
- Avoid rapidly switching networks while repeatedly retrying sign-in or payment actions.
If other services also disconnect or fail, repair the connection first. If everything else works but Disney+ continues to show the exact Error 92 message, an IP-level throttle is a plausible explanation, not a confirmed diagnosis.
3. Restart the device and relaunch Disney+
Official status: Disney instructs users to power down or restart the device, then relaunch the app.
- Exit Disney+.
- Turn off or restart your phone, computer, smart TV, streaming stick, game console, or other playback device.
- Wait for the device to finish restarting.
- Open Disney+ and attempt the action once.
Menu names differ among Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Google TV, Samsung, LG, consoles, and provider boxes, so use the device’s normal restart control. A restart creates a fresh local app session; that explanation is practical context, not a Disney guarantee that it removes the throttle.

4. Verify payment and subscription details
Official status: Disney recommends checking payment information and contacting the relevant financial institution. Payment details can be managed through Account settings, although labels vary by region, account type, and interface version.
- Check the card number, expiration date, security code, and billing address.
- Confirm the card is not expired, locked, declined, or held by a fraud-prevention review.
- Check whether a recent Disney+ charge or payment-method update failed.
- If a third party bills the subscription, verify where billing is managed before editing anything.
- Submit an update once; do not repeatedly resubmit a failed payment form.
If the bank reports a decline or authorization problem, resolve that with the bank or card issuer. Never give card details to an unofficial support number or troubleshooting site.

5. Contact Disney+ Support when the block persists
Disney directs users to support when the connection test, device restart, and payment verification do not resolve Error 92. Start with Disney’s Error Codes directory and Help Center support options.

Information to collect
- The exact error text and code.
- Device type and model.
- Whether the failure occurs in the app, a browser, or both.
- Whether other websites and streaming services work.
- Whether multiple devices on the same network show Error 92.
- Any recent failed login or payment attempts.
- Approximate start time and the country or region in use.
Do not include your password, full card number, or one-time security code in a support request.
Use the symptom pattern to choose your next step
| What you observe | Most useful next step |
|---|---|
| Error followed several failed sign-ins | Stop retrying, wait, and use account recovery if needed. |
| Error followed a payment update | Check billing details once and ask the bank about authorization. |
| Other apps and websites also fail | Test and repair the internet connection. |
| Only one device is affected | Restart that device and troubleshoot its Disney+ installation. |
| Every device on one Wi-Fi network is affected | Run a connection test, restart the network equipment as a general measure, and test another legitimate connection. |
| Error remains after the official steps | Contact Disney+ Support with the diagnostic details above. |
The table is a troubleshooting guide, not a formal Disney diagnostic test. Device- or network-level conclusions are inferences from the pattern you observe.

Disney’s broader Fix a Problem section covers cache clearing, browser-cache clearing, updates, and reinstalling. Use these only after the official Error 92 sequence, especially when another device works on the same network.

Clear cache
Use only the device’s built-in clear-cache option. Clearing app data may sign you out and remove local settings or downloads. Clear a browser cache only when the problem is isolated to that browser; it is not Disney’s listed primary remedy for Error 92.
Update or reinstall
Install pending app or device updates. Reinstall Disney+ as a last resort: it can remove corrupted local files, but it signs you out, may delete downloads and preferences, and may not affect an IP-based throttle.
Test a VPN or proxy only as a diagnostic
The current Error 92 page does not identify VPNs or proxies as causes or official fixes. If you use one, turn it off temporarily, retry once, and restore it afterward if needed for security. Do not use a VPN to bypass Disney+ regional restrictions or account controls.
Check that the code is really 92
Do not apply this procedure automatically to another number. Disney maintains separate entries for codes including 14, 42, 73, 75, 83, 93, 1026, and 142 in its Error Codes directory; their causes and remedies can differ.
Is Disney+ down?
A service-wide outage is possible, but Error 92’s official explanation is IP-related traffic throttling, not a declaration of a Disney-wide outage. Check Disney’s Help Center and a reputable outage-monitoring service for current evidence rather than inferring an outage from one account’s message.
