This is a U.S. television premiere calendar covering announced series premieres, returning seasons, live events, and major specials. Dates can move, especially for streaming releases and midseason broadcast programs.
For documentary viewers, the schedule is also useful as a broader guide to the nonfiction, history, crime, competition, and factual programming surrounding the 2026–27 television season. A “series premiere” means a new program; a “season premiere” marks the return of an existing show.

Shows without firm 2026 dates
Many announced programs still have only a season or midseason window rather than a specific premiere day. CBS has listed Matlock, Ghosts, and new series Einstein for the second half of the 2026–27 broadcast season, but has not assigned exact dates.
Other calendar trackers identify roughly three dozen additional midseason broadcast premieres with dates pending. These entries should not be treated as confirmed until the network or streamer publishes a specific day.

How to read the calendar
- Check whether it is a new show or a returning season. “Series premiere” and “season premiere” are not interchangeable.
- Look for special launch formats. A network may premiere a show with a two-hour broadcast, multiple episodes, or a special event rather than its regular weekly length.
- Confirm the release pattern on streaming services. The listed date may mean one episode, several episodes, or a full-season release.
- Recheck before watching. Premiere calendars change, and a network or studio announcement takes precedence over an older roundup.
All dates in this schedule are U.S. premiere dates. International availability, local broadcast times, and episode-release patterns may differ.

No. They are announced U.S. premiere dates as of August 9, 2026, but networks and streamers can change dates, times, launch formats, and episode-release plans.
The Bottom Line
The busiest stretch of the 2026 television calendar runs from mid-September through October, when NBC, CBS, Fox, ABC, cable networks, and streamers launch much of their new and returning programming. Treat the dates as a working schedule rather than a permanent one: streaming release plans and broadcast calendars can change, particularly for shows without a confirmed day.
